The Flyers sold their soul to become a playoff team. They structured the non-rebuild to make this happen as quickly as possible. Making the playoffs this year is their ultimate Stanley Cup.
There is no plan to ever become a Colorado type team. Just playoffs and hopeful vibes.

Interesting results. One thing to consider in recasting standings is that different teams would play differently in regulation if the rules changed. Good teams might be more aggressive in close games & bad teams might roll dice in OT. It's never quite as simple as retrofitting.

Just quickly put together a table based on the following rules: - 3 points for a regular win - 2 points for an overtime win - 1 point for a tie (shootouts eliminated) or an overtime loss I’m not sure if it’s ideal, but it seems better to me than the current system.

Saskatoon usually has curtains covering the second bowl and Regina games sold out in the regular season

He was the next best prospect after Bedard I don't think he was undersold

Maybe I was not paying enough attention, but I do not recall him getting crazy hype coming into his draft year. He was the consensus top pick, yes, but it was certainly not on the McDavid, Crosby, Bedard level.
