@Mimi254_Ela I totally disagree. Having schooled with Chinese students in the US, I can tell you firsthand that we’re on the same level of excellence. The system has its flaws, but it produces students who can compete with the best globally. It’s about the grit, not "rubbish."
English

@Mimi254_Ela My niece actually began high school in Kenya and transferred here to finish, graduating cum laude before heading to the Ivy League, where she’s already crushing it with a flying GPA. That doesn't happen if you were taught 'rubbish.'
English

@Mimi254_Ela My son got into an Ivy League straight from a public high school huko mashinani in western Kenya. Three years in, anawang'aria mbaya. Na ni STEM field.
Msiuziwe uoga, Kenya tuko juu
Indonesia

@kibet_too Oh. I didn’t even dwell on her shortcomings.
I was saying watu ni wengi.
English

@Mimi254_Ela okay , what is it about? I was addressing the concerns in the video. what else is there? coz I know a couple of my friends who went there and completed their studies top of their classes with no issues
English

just because you can't create a simple Google site portfolio or a vercel app doesn't mean you have to shit on the whole academic system. jifunzee
Missy@Mimi254_Ela
Those guys who hype Kenyan education system are lying to you. We’ve been taught rubbish for years. Our curriculum planned by backward people in the ministry. Our government employees are allergic to technology.
English

@AniwNewguy9280 @i_ladyborg Eg media studies. The equipment and softwares used in global media houses you never see them until you work there. These media institutions in nairobi just teach you Stone Age technology. Same as medicine, engineering, culinary arts etc pick a field, tuko nyuma
English

@Mimi254_Ela @i_ladyborg what do you mean by outdated 'techniques or technology' because science and math has never changed...........
English

@kibet_too @mohamedalihirsi Tell me why Kenyans are in denial. The kind of catch up one has to do to be relevant is insane.

@Carter_Plc Kenya's 8-4-4 physics curriculum produces students who are mathematically elite but conceptually narrow. While they rarely need remedial help, the gap in modern topics & the 12-yr cycle means a "bridging" year is often required for UK/EU university alignment.
English

@Mimi254_Ela Chukua physics ya form three upate kuna fundamentals of harmonics, uende klb form 4 upate kuna bridge rectifiers for conversion, then upate kuna radiation for quantum mechanics and lasers.
English

@Just_Tomln 😅😅 Mimi sijacomment juu yake but I’m glad alipata the awakening.
English

@Mimi254_Ela Sasa alienda class bila kusoma 🤔.....ndio maana ako giza 😁😁
Filipino

@mosety Not quite.
Our medical graduates have to study abroad in order to get better in their specialties because of lack of resources, lack of research and lack of equipment.
We need to be honest that most of us were just good at taking exams. Hizo zingine we had to train up.
English

@Mimi254_Ela Kenyans will excel in health sciences but math and tech you will see total dust.
English

@APSkenyan It’s not just her. Many realize their degrees eg in information science was insufficient when they went for further studies.
English

@Mimi254_Ela Unfortunately she's the one behind. I know many Kenyans who have gone there and done well in university.
English

@Mimi254_Ela Get to interact with the Scandinavia Education systems and you’ll weep… we are so pathetic it’s a dirge we haven’t composed yet
English

@adweya_ Kenyans don’t want to admit that they just became good at cramming.
Some private schools are not any better, they just have lesser students but it’s garbage in, garbage out.
You have to supplement the mediocre education curriculum so that your kid gets a shot out here.
English

@Mimi254_Ela 💯 and the essays you write there are nothing like the compositions we were made to write in high school. Lecturers were more interested in your takeaway than the author’s premise and that’s where our system failed us. Cramming was incentivised rather than critical thinking
English

@FunsyzedGurl At no point did I co-sign her.
You missed her first point which by the way is the experience of many Kenyans who study or work abroad. They have to play catch up with the rest of the world.
See, I didn’t even need to mirror your cheap tackles like rubbish or low IQ sentiments.
English

@Mimi254_Ela Missy this is a rubbish take and a low IQ interpretation on the ladies experience. Please note she didn’t insult our education system.
English

@Mimi254_Ela This is what they teach in rural schools vs what kenya has

TECH4ALL@HUAWEI_TECH4ALL
Never too young for tech! Rural schools often lag behind urban schools in resources. In Yunnan, the TECH4ALL AI DigiSchool has helped bridge that gap - these kids & their teachers are getting to grips with cutting-edge robotics.
English

@Cleophas93 Uoga? Many Kenyans have had to train further to keep up because our curriculum is outdated and irrelevant.
English

@Mimi254_Ela kama watoto wa mike sonko wanagraduate huko with distinction unajaribu kutuuzia uoga bana
Indonesia

@Mimi254_Ela Some of you are just lazy and relaxed.
My 10yo son has been coding and designing UI since he was 8.
Some schools like Makini teach coding as a subject.
Speak for yourself but some Kenyan students actually know those things you're talking about.
English

@i_ladyborg The number of people who have had to be retrained or trained to keep up coz they were taught to use outdated techniques or technology is insane. Let’s not kid ourselves.
It’s time to stop drinking the koolaid
English

@Mimi254_Ela I disagree, we haven't been taught rubbish for years, infact our education system has and is still producing stellar proffessionals. if you ask me the gap is in mentorship and guidance as kids are absorbing so much knowledge..especially in this times..
