@jjpjolly Hello. I've been reading your EV series in The Guardian and wanted to comment on part 5. If battery production is included in life cycle of an EV, then certainly gasoline production for a car should be included, esp. if we making carbon measurements.

@votefloridaman @VivekGRamaswamy How can it be democracy when 4 Colorado Supreme Court judges have ruled that the majority of Coloradans can not vote for Trump? Is this democracy or dictatorship?

This is what an *actual* attack on democracy looks like: in an un-American, unconstitutional, and *unprecedented* decision, a cabal of Democrat judges are barring Trump from the ballot in Colorado. Having tried every trick in the book to eliminate President Trump from running in this election, the bipartisan Establishment is now deploying a new tactic to bar him from ever holding office again: the 14th Amendment. I pledge to *withdraw* from the Colorado GOP primary unless Trump is also allowed to be on the state’s ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley to do the same immediately - or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country.   Today’s decision is the latest election interference tactic to silence political opponents and swing the election for whatever puppet the Democrats put up this time by depriving Americans of the right to vote for their candidate of choice.   The 14th Amendment was part of the “Reconstruction Amendments” that were ratified following the Civil War. It was passed to prohibit former Confederate military and political leaders from holding high federal or state office. These men had clearly taken part in a rebellion against the United States: the Civil War. That makes it all the more absurd that a left-wing group in Colorado is asking a federal court to disqualify the 45th President on the same grounds, equating his speech to rebellion against the United States. And there’s another legal problem: Trump is not a former “officer of the United States,” as that term is used in the Constitution, meaning Section 3 does not apply. As the Supreme Court explained in Free Enterprise Fund v. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (2010), an “officer of the United States” is someone appointed by the President to aid him in his duties under Article II, Section 2. The term does not apply to elected officials, and certainly not to the President himself.   The Framers of the 14th Amendment would be appalled to see this narrow provision—intended to bar former U.S. officials who switched to the Confederacy from seeking public office—being weaponized by a sitting President and his political allies to prevent a former President from seeking reelection. Our country is becoming unrecognizable to our Founding Fathers.

@gorgi__ @itsavibe Unless...it's a symbol of hatred against blacks. You're not incorrect but some symbols take like the swastika or the peace symbol. They never change.

@JoeyMannarinoUS So if one doesn't believe in your God or have a religion at all, are they excluded? Does everyone need to confirm to your moral expectation and behaviours? Wouldn't this be "grooming", if everyone behaves like you want us to? Sorry, am I missing something here?

@JoeBiden President for "all Americans?" All you do is divide Americans by race, gender, class, etc. When you're not doing that, you're trying to jail your political opponents and interfering in "elections." Know you won't stop, but could you at least stop with these nonsense Tweets?

Investments we're making spurred by the Inflation Reduction Act are going to communities that historically get left behind. When I took office, I vowed I’d be president for all Americans, and we're delivering on that promise.

Show us where Trudeau bragged that interest rates were at historic lows. Any credible leader. Of any nation knew interest rates were too low. When the monetary policy has interest rates pegged at .5 percent, there is little room for stimulus with interest rates. Tell me this is wrong. Interest rates have been historically low since the Global Financial Crisis, and central banks worldwide have set benchmark interest rates at next to zero. Here, again, we have your greatest lie of them all. The one your base eats up. Every single time you mention interest rates or inflationary spending (Keynesian intervention, if we are, to be honest), nowhere, none of your paid bobbleheads, absolutely nowhere is it ever mentioned that between 2015 and 2023, your favourite dates to compare - you never, nor do the bobbleheads, ever mention COVID-19 and worldwide supply chain collapse. As I’ve said before, and none of you will touch it, touching the truth makes it real. This is the same as comparing the twelve billion dollar surplus that the Liberal government gave to Stephen Harper in 2006 and then the state of the economy in 2010 and saying it was all Stephen Harper's fault—that why be robbed Peter to pay Paul with Canadian assets to protect his reform legacy. Much of it was Harper's fault, but you couldn’t, and the Liberals never ignored or foolishly blamed Harper for the GFC. Mr Harper couldn’t stand that a Liberal government gave him a surplus and he would leave Canada with huge deficits. You would have your base holding hands and singing “Inflationary Spending” as if it were Kumbaya. You were sure, and you were right, that most are not sophisticated enough to see through your tapestry of lies. Gain some credibility and start providing context between the two dates. How evident this lie is, its repetition, the number of the less informed who believe it is staggering. That is a terrible statement on the level of education and nuanced thought in your base. It’s singularly the biggest lie I have ever seen, told over and over in the history of Canadian politics. It is Goebbels 101, the idea that constant repetition can make an untrue statement gain acceptance or credibility among the public. It’s a technique used in the context of propaganda and manipulation, where falsehood is perpetuated through continuous repetition, exploiting the psychological phenomenon that familiarity with a statement can sometimes be misconstrued as truth. I’ll include again what Keynesian intervention is and how the entire world used it to recover from COVID-19. Which leads us to another constant lie of omission. You only compare Canada from the first to the second date as if in isolation. Comparing Canada to the rest of the G7, the world would annihilate your false narratives before we had to stomach the one million repetitions. I’d debate this Apple chomping chump any day of the week, on any subject, without crib notes. Ed.

Trudeau bragged when interest rates were at historic lows. Then he spent half a trillion dollars and rates went up 10 times. Now, Canadians don't know how they're going to pay their mortgages. He’s not worth the cost.

@dang_nab @thePowerbeard @RepMTG Changing the direction of the wind doesn't change the smell. Let's get back to Trump's daughter and the patents she received from Chyna, or the $2B Jared received. Let me get this straight. The Republican majority controlled Congress has ousted a Republican Speaker and is now on the verge of expelling a not yet convicted Republican member, but we can’t even impeach Mayorkas or Biden or stop the weaponized DOJ against Trump and all their political enemies?
