The first scholar I (Rasheed Barbee) met in person was the late Mufti of Saudi Arabia Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Baz may Allah have mercy upon him. I sat only a couple of feet in front of him. The first thing I noticed was his humility. He would answer the most basic questions without being condescending.
