I'm surprised that less than 12k participants completed Linea's latest campaign, despite a $100k prize pool. Even with zero LXP rewards, I’m convinced it'll play a role in the airdrop. While interacting with 2 other tokenless protocols. I used this strategy to complete 88% of the tasks with just $1 (ends 28 Sep): _______________________________________ Linea Guild Games is a 9-day campaign that involves playing @unfetteredgame and completing tasks across 9 chapters. Apart from Linea, I'm interacting with these projects: ❍ @G7_DAO to track points and earn XP ❍ @HyperPlayGaming's game store We get to earn these prizes just by participating: ❍ $100k prize pool (in ETH) ❍ SOULS token ❍ FOXY/CROAK/WEF tokens ❍ Game7 Credits ❍ Treasure chests and in-game rewards (my lowest priority) Each day, a new chapter is launched with 3 tasks to complete (all expire together). Here are the main steps I did to complete the tasks: _______________________________________ #1 Create an account on Game7 I find that the platform takes a while to verify tasks (especially social ones), so the experience was rather frustrating. One of the tasks involved choosing a Guild for the campaign. I went with @FoxyLinea as it's currently ranked #1 on the leaderboard: x.com/unfetteredgame… Feel free to use my referral code to join Game7: app.game7.io/?referral_code… #2 Play the game on HyperPlay This is a web-based game with no installation required (I could play it with a Mac). store.hyperplay.xyz/game/unfettere… It took a while to get used to the mechanics, and here's a brief rundown: _______________________________________ The mechanics Unfettered is a zombie survival game, and my main focus is to complete all 3 tasks for each chapter. These usually involve: ❍ Surviving for a certain period of time ❍ Activating certain powerups ❍ Reaching a certain level ❍ Dealing a certain amount of damage Apart from claiming the rewards on Unfettered, don't forget to claim XP and G7 credits on Game7 too. It's possible to complete the tasks without paying anything. But the character and weapon options were limited, and I kept dying easily. I'm better at ranged weapons vs the melee weapons that were provided. So I bought an Entry ticket for $1 in ETH for these perks: ❍ Unlimited runs (I only had 2 tries/day without the ticket) ❍ Full access to heroes and weapons ❍ 3 treasure chests containing SVP, SOULS or in-game items This is the setup I used: ❍ Kaelen (the entry hero) ❍ Tome of Arcane Wisdom (ranged weapon) Here are my tips to complete the tasks in each chapter: _______________________________________ Tip #1 Understand the controls These are the main controls in the game: ❍ WASD for movement ❍ Left Shift for Dash ❍ Q and E to trigger active abilities Dash is useful in getting out of tight spots. _______________________________________ Tip #2 Claim as much XP as you can When killing zombies, some will drop gems that earn you XP and level up. There are crabs that steal these gems, but they are a pain to kill. Levelling up lets you choose one of these powerups: ❍ Boosts ❍ Passive abilities ❍ Active abilities (I have to press a key to activate them) You get 3 choices each time and it's random. Some of the tasks for each chapter require you to level up a certain ability or hold both active and passive abilities. Most are decent, but here's the one I always aim to get: _______________________________________ Tip #3 Get the Echo active ability ASAP Echo triggers a copy of your hero and it's a great way of getting out of tight spots. All the enemies will target the copy instead of you, giving you a breather to escape. Echo is particularly useful in defeating one of the big bosses as it targets the copy and leaves you alone. This is the only active ability I focus on levelling up. I don't recommend getting too many active abilities as it could be hard to manage them. _______________________________________ Tip #4 Be aware of consumables that can be only used once I wasted the consumable health potions at the start as I didn't know they were a one-time use. Health potions do drop after killing enemies, so I recommend only using the consumables when absolutely necessary. It's possible to resurrect but we can only do it once per run, so I plan to be prudent with it. _______________________________________ Tip #5 Focus on completing quests My main aim is to complete the 3 tasks in each chapter. It's not possible to complete tasks from different chapters within the same run. So once I've hit the requirements, I'll just let my character die. I want to earn Game7 credits while increasing my chances of winning the prize pool. Right now, I'm stuck at Chapter 6 because I can't hit Level 18 for the final task. _______________________________________ Even though this campaign has zero LXP, I believe my participation could be a multiplier for Linea's airdrop. I still plan to complete every campaign Linea throws at us as it shows that I'm a consistent user of their network. Which increases the chances of a good allocation.
