@walcarpit @MickPuck @12tonevideos It sounds like Tom Petty was just playing around and came up with kind of placeholder lyrics. And then it grew more and more complex. I agree, it really is amazing.

@MinorFossil @MickPuck @12tonevideos That’s astonishing. I wonder if the musicians themselves actually worked that complexity explicitly into their composition. I know I don’t understand music but I hadn’t realised that I don’t even understand how music is made.

(1) I always liked "Freefallin'" by Tom Petty but I'd never listened to it properly. This morning I was in a taxi, stuck in traffic, when it came on the radio, its chimy guitar riff like a cross between the Byrds in its brightness and The Velvet Underground in its repetition

It's important to understand how valuable music and audio is to a game. I took the time to read up and learn about the music systems in some games which has resulted in me purchasing them to play them myself. Simply put - I bought the game because I was intrigued about the audio.
