An @TheAA_UK insured driver smashed into our drive & drove off. Caught it on camera & sent to the police, who said it was good enough to take to court. The AA are refusing to pay for the damage - why is that?

@SEATUK our Ateca was recently written off in a high impact collision and the airbag didn’t go off. Thankfully no one was hurt but this could have been much worse. Who can I get in touch with about this? We are buying a new car and I need some reassurance

Seriously though, the thick wavy red outline HEAVILY implies that this is a meteorological blob. But the Northern Ireland shape is a giveaway. This has been drawn by someone who’s been told “fill in central Scotland and Northern Ireland” and make it look weathery.

@TheGreatB00ks I used Fagles for my undergrad and post grad degrees (nearly 20 years ago) and got shit for it being too modern 🤦🏻♀️

First, as a preliminary, we recommend the Fagles translation - it is poetic, solid, and dynamic.

"Oh, you've never read The Odyssey???" Your timing is perfect. Emily Wilson's translation is the best one in literally ages, has that sweet iambic pentameter to give it a "bouncy" feel, & makes dudebros cry that the classic has "gone woke". 😁
