Use 3 at max, and save for later. Yes, luck is involved, but as long as I have been playing, this hole does not happen often.

Hey everyone overseas, A lot of people think Japanese people can’t speak English at all, but that’s not really true. Most of us can handle simple phrases like “thank you,” “hello,” “good morning,” or “excuse me.” It’s just that once conversations go beyond that, it suddenly feels a lot harder—and even if we know what we want to say, the words don’t come out. So if someone in Japan tries to speak English with you, it really helps if you speak a bit slower or keep things simple. We might not be fluent, but the intention to communicate is definitely there.

Yunyun Syndrome came out. And the english localization has come under fire for being one of the worst ones yet: English translators caught 1. Removing Kaomoji 2. Inserting nonsense about fascism 3. @dnwiebe @threenotes_jp Oh that's interesting and mind bender indeed xD I can tell this about japanese. They have 3 writing system, Katakana, hiragana and Kanji. Katakana is for borrow words, Kanji is just Chinese letters and Hiragana is their own letter. Which has similar sound to katakana.

@Miru_Rhythm @threenotes_jp Aha--that sounds a bit like Hebrew. The vowels aren't part of the alphabet, but they're implied. (Actually, the Hebrew alphabet (alephbet) does have two vowels, but they're both silent. How's that for a mindbender?)

@dnwiebe @threenotes_jp I'm not japanese, so I don't know exactly know. It just happen to be in my interest back then. However, I'm pretty sure they do use other, but it adding U is quite common when ending a word because they can be silent. Someone however need to correct me if I'm wrong.

@dnwiebe @threenotes_jp That because of how Japanese "letters" works. They are not letters, they are sound. They don't have S alone and always pair with another vowel. ク (Ku)リ(Ri)ス(Su)マ(Ma)ス(Su). To make it easier and sounds similar to Christmas, Both Su, they only say the S sounds and drop U.

@dnwiebe @threenotes_jp I'm not an expert, so keep in mind it may be wrong but. How they say is very similar to Christmas. Emphasize Ri and Ma. Ku is subtle, however, both su are silent. Yes, despite having vowel, they are silent.

@dnwiebe @threenotes_jp Well, there is a translation for squirrel (risu) Instead, we can take Christmas, because for Japanese, there is no translation, it's a borrowed word. What happen is that they put vowel for each letter. It become Kurisumasu, just try to sound as close as possible.

@threenotes_jp Also, I can't think of any Japanese words that have consonant blends: they always seem to have just one consonant separating syllables. What do you do with an English word like "squirrel?" That has an S, a K, and a W all together.

@guitar_al @JPipe910 @temporaryfap Kinda I guess? Idk I don't try to use all common letter because it help avoiding this situation. I still get some unlucky, so it's unfortunate, but that rarely happen. Most of the time, it just a harder version of the game.

Played bus with 4 players. 1 is a newbie, 2 is a regular player and 1 is a menace with the only goal is to just being a menace. Yellow player did not even gain 2 point. That's how menacing he is lmao. Love this game, an absolute menace of a game.
