🆘🆘 OREO (ID 244560), 6 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - owner surrender on 12/29/2025, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - aggressive towards people. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 01/22/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 7th Chance on Emergency Placement List – ON BORROWED TIME – SHELTER AT CAPACITY- NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP OREO - HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK –🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 23 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ OREO IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Oreo was lying on his perch as the assessor approached, body and face tense with his ears forward and his tail wrapped tightly around his body. Oreo made eye contact when spoken to and he squinted his eyes and flattened his ears as the kennel door opened. Oreo tolerated petting along his head and back with the assess-a-hand while growling and backing away slowly. Pick up was not attempted at this time to reduce stress. 💔😿💔😿💔😿 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you
