I was very much pressured to have kids. I was also pressured to have a college degree so I could have those kids. True story. Lol. I didn't do either, and I couldn't be happier. We need to stop pressuring women and encourage them to follow whichever path is best for them.

@medieval_bops @AcheJ6 I'm very sorry you felt that way. Nobody should feel pressured either way. At 46, I had an opposite experience. I felt very pressured to have kids. It wasn't until maybe 5 years ago people finally quit bugging me about having a family. No regrets and I'm living on my terms.

I am 51 and deeply regret not having kids. I was stringently brainwashed into believing that I should never have children. I’ve never even been pregnant as far as I know. I was on birth control from age 16 through age 49.

@MissBrneyes I would not say that at all. Everyone grieves their own way. And going back to work was probably necessary or just needed to feel some kind of normal. My heart goes out to any grieving mothers.
