@MissBteachs @melissacreate15 Re tax: you'll obviously pay tax on the whole amount and as I understand it, the 2nd job will have a zero tax code to enable that to happen.

@melissacreate15 I already have a daughter, yes I don’t have to pay for childcare over the holidays but I can barely afford to eat / put petrol in my car. Teaching is a hard job I spend most of my evenings working yet I can’t afford to even buy myself a vest top from primark it’s just shit

@MissBteachs If you enjoy teaching and are thinking of having kids Do factor in the cost of holiday childcare in any salary comparisons with other areas of work.

@melissacreate15 With my husband we both work full time but rent & council tax alone is nearly 2 thousand pound a month .. there’s no help for people who work, we can’t save to buy with the price we pay out

@MrHtheteacher @MissBteachs Definitely do this. I don't have a quiet voice but kept losing my voice, I worked with a colleague who was a trained singer and she showed me how to project my voice more effectively. It made a huge difference!

Anyone else have a naturally quiet voice?This is my third time with laryngitis and I’m getting worried, it’s not because I shout it’s because I have to project my voice to fill rooms such as the hall or the playground. Anyone else suffer as a teacher?! @MrTs_NQTs #teachertwitter
