This weekend I officially graduated from the University of Exeter with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Physical Education Secondary with QTS. A lovely way to celebrate completing my first full term as a Teacher! Now to inspire the next generation ✨️

Term 1 as an ECT complete ✅️ and my first Ofsted experience, too! I have learnt a lot this term, and I am looking forward to what comes next! Now it's time for a holiday... ✈️

@MissGWilsonPE I know the Well HQ cover these sorts of bases also (with cost). Additionally, having an Instagram page or twitter to promote clubs is beneficial. (2/2)

@MissGWilsonPE I am ECT 1 this year, so previously aided schools doing this style initiative! Promotion can be through assemblies of things such as promoting club's, progress the initiative is having etc. Other options are to hold assemblies to educate girls on their bodies, sports bras (1/2)

Has anyone ever launched a ‘this girl can’ initiative and had success? Would love to hear from you if you have? 😀

@MissGWilsonPE Utilising lunch times and after school! Things like football, girls only gym sessions, cheerleading etc!

@MissBullPE Thank you! So I did a student voice last year! I like the idea of selecting enthusiastic girls to help get the ball rolling. What kind of activities do you offer? Is it just for after school? Xx

@MissGWilsonPE Girls sports leaders help the initiative run within the school and can lead girls only clubs which have a focus on participation and fun! Happy to discuss more! (2/2).

@MissGWilsonPE Yes! And in the process of setting a new one up this academic year with the aim to increase female participation. We do this by selecting girls sport leaders (any enthusiastic girls, in any year) and begin with a student voice of understanding what girls want at the school! (1/2)

Yesterday I met my new tutor group and their families who will be joining the school in September! I am so excited to learn and grow with them all 🥰
