@misssmeaden @MrTs_NQTs Currently in a single form entry but reading the comments I don’t see many benefits. It’s hard to plan with no one to bounce ideas off. We’re in a trust which is very specific about what you deliver. Workload feels higher as you are doing everything alone. Trips 🤯🤯🤯

Ridiculous SLT moment of the day. Got told off this morning for taking whiteboard pens for my kids from the stock under the assistant heads (who was off sick at the time) desk. Was told I should have text her and told her. I add again, she was off sick.

Todays small win was finding out how to change the background of all slides on smart notebook! Hallelujah!!!

I’ve been quiet on teacher Twitter. I’ve found that I physically cannot bring myself to look at anything school related once I’m out of school. But this week I feel I need all the support I can get. It’s relentless work at the moment #rqts #teacher

@MissCJS27 Your pay will go up. But it can take a couple of months to come through so that schools make all pay recommendations in one go in line with their appraisal system. It will be back dated though. If it hasn't gone up next month definitely speak to the head/bursar.

Second year teacher question - should my pay automatically go up to M2? I passed my NQT last year, I’ve taken on some subject responsibilities at school, but I have not been notified of an increase in pay and my pay has not gone up? @MrTs_NQTs

@RogersHistory The quality of education would improve massively if the only thing teachers had to worry about was turning up each day and teaching. The job has continuously becomes complex. Bureaucracy always seems to win out, sadly.

This week was hard. Brand new SLT in place, running around crazy busy. Tough class with lots of varying needs. Feeling overwhelmed and under supported.
