This is such a fantastic resource!! My students will love exploring this software as we create our own school garden. This software caters for 21st Century Learners, which is a key focus throughout my unit. #UoNTeach #Educ4750

What a fantastic resource that I will be using in my SDG3 unit of work. @GrowVeg have developed an online tool for students to electronically plan their own vegetable garden! This will motivate and engage 21st century learners #UoNTeach #Educ4750 growveg.com.au/garden-planner…

I love this poster! What a great visual way to show children how they can embed #mindfulness into their day when feeling certain ways. Fidget toys could also be added into a mindfulness area, including things such as squishys and tangle fidgets. #UoNTeach #SDG3 #Educ4750

I believe mindfulness is important! This is a resource to hang in my future classroom. It shows some visual mindfulness strategies for my students to use. I plan on having a whole area dedicated to mindfulness! What are some other strategies I can use? #UonTeach #educ4750 #SDG3

Preventative education is so important! Bringing external companies into schools to deliver crucial information is a fun way of delivering messages, helping students be more aware of the dangers of drug and alcohol use! #uonteach #educ4750 #SDG3
Life Ed | Healthy Harold@LifeEdAus

Based on best practice & evidence, our preventative health education program equips children with the knowledge & skills needed to make safe choices in their life. We do not use fear to motivate children into action but share the impact certain choices could have on their lives.

@Paige_Gabriel1 I will be focusing on De Bono's 6 Thinking Hats throughout my unit, as I want my students to begin to take on board different points of view. I will also be linking to 21st Century learning skills #collaboration #selfregulation #ICT, as these are essential skills in today's world

What an amazing program! Definitely something all classroom teachers should check out. They engage students with crazy backflips, to teach them about bullying. My students absolutely loved the show and how engaging it was. Check it out actioneducation.com.au/backflips-agai… #UoNTeach #Educ4750

@MissAtkins00 @SpeersPointPS Exactly right... We want students to have all the energy they need to succeed throughout the school day. This can be done by ensuring all our students have a nutritious breakfast.

I love this initiative started by @OzHarvest. Throughout the program, children are given the opportunity to create their own recipe book full of healthy food ideas that all children will love to eat. I am looking forward to doing this with my students #UoNTeach #Educ4750

@MissAtkins00 This is such an important topic to teach children. There are so many misconceptions around what food is going to fuel our bodies throughout the day. Crunch&Sip is a great initiative aiming to increase students daily fruit and vegetable intake.

Such a scary figure and such a hard fix. At school we can’t control students exposure to online advertisements at home but we can teach students what foods we don’t need and what foods fuel us to be healthy and active #healthyeating #UoNTeach
Children's Food Campaign (no longer posting here)@Childrensfood

Total online junk food advertising restrictions are key to the Govt's Obesity Strategy. Helping children to be healthier by removing 12.5 BILLION calories each year - equal to 62 MILLION doughnuts! 👏 Check out new @OHA_updates report for more info👉bit.ly/GetinBin

@MissAtkins00 @YouTube This is such a great initiative to implement into rural schools!! I also love how it links directly to the Indigenous culture in the area, as well as promoting healthy eating habits. Creating recipe books would be another idea to incorporate into this program...

Cyberbullying is becoming more of an issue especially in today's digital world, with many children have access to social media from a young age. I believe cyberbullying should be focused on more in primary school!! Do you agree with me? #UoNTeach #Educ4750
headspace@headspace_aus

This month, we are highlighting the impact of bullying on young Australians. In 2020, one in two young Australians surveyed reported experiencing a form of cyberbullying in the past. We've developed resources to help young people and their family & friends fal.cn/3echL

This looks amazing @MrHAClarke!! What a great opportunity for collaborative work through #mindfulness colouring. Also a great way for students to de-stress from a busy school day. I love to play mediation music in the background to calm students. #UoNTeach #educ4750
Mr Clarke 🙋🏼‍♂️@MrHAClarke

I can't remember who suggested it, but the whole class mindfulness colouring sheets from @twinklresources are great! Did struggle to find a place with the space to put it up though... 😂
