I’m excited to announce a partnership with @Uber. As part of this, Uber plans to invest up to $1.25 billion in Rivian and deploy up to 50,000 R2 robotaxis. This partnership accelerates our path to Level 4 autonomy and supports our goal of building one of the safest autonomous platforms in the world—across both shared and personally owned vehicles. The combination of Rivian’s rapidly growing data flywheel, our in-house RAP1 inference platform (800 TOPS), and our multi-modal perception stack provides a powerful foundation to scale autonomy quickly and responsibly over the next couple of years.

.@TensorAuto is a fresh face on a Silicon Valley company which operated a very large fleet of autonomous taxis in China. They've contracted Vietnam's @VinFastofficial to produce a high-end personal robotaxi which is larger than a Rolls Royce Ghost and has the onboard compute of about 40 Tesla Model Ys 😳 ... and it's scheduled to hit the US market this year 👀 I spent some time with the Chief Marketing Officer, Amy Luca to explore the vehicle and dove into the company's history. To get the cost down and be able to price it in the $30k range makes sense to go 400V. But we talk about the possibilities with the battery in this video beyond that.
