P1 have created a Rights Map based on 4 rights that we have been learning about. This is what these Rights mean to us! @OurRightsKPS

We had great fun playing Dinosaur Dash yesterdsy morning. We had to sound out the sounds in the word and move the correct dinosaurs along the board. We had lots of fun playing this Phoncis game🦖🦕 @Kinneil_PS

We had lots of fun exploring place value today. We used playing cards to generate a number and represented using the base ten blocks. @Kinneil_PS

World Book Day PJ Day 📚 We have had so much fun taking part in lots of Literacy activities such as Adopt a book, a visit from Yvonne Manning who read us lots of stories and Kinneils World Book Day Quiz! World Book Day tokens will be handed out tomorrow 🎟️@Kinneil_PS

As part of literacy week we had a whole class vote for our favourite books 📚 We represented this information in the form of a pictogram. ‘The Gruffalo’ was a clear winner! @Kinneil_PS

♻️ 📚 Adopt a Book 📚 ♻️ On Thursday pupils will have the chance to take home a ‘new’ book. We are looking for donations of 1 or 2 books from home that you think someone else in your class would enjoy. Please bring in any books by Wednesday. @Kinneil_PS

Lots of fun looking at data handling and recording information using tally marks. We used the information we collected to create a pictogram! 🚗 @Kinneil_PS

P1 playing sound BINGO to learn the sh, ch, th sound. They worked hard to write the word and diacritically mark the word. The first player to get a full bingo board was the winner 🏆 @Kinneil_PS

Sign of the Week: To Eat Here are our Models signing snack, lunch and eat. 🍽️ Our Makaton models will be looking for people using these signs in the lunch hall. @Kinneil_PS

P1’s Dignity Heart ❤️ @OurRightsKPS P1 spoke about what dignity means and how we can treat others with dignity and respect. We discussed how our Rights fit into this and looked at some examples. @Kinneil_PS

P1 were learning about Needs & Wants today and we discussed our Rights. Lots of good discussion about what things we need daily (food,water,shelter) & what things we want to have (iPad, holidays)! @OurRightsKPS @Kinneil_PS

After visiting Bo’ness town hall yesterday we created our own drawings. We focussed on adding detail & focussed on the shapes/sizes of the building. One person even drew Kinneil house! @Kinneil_PS
