@MissMartin1807 @autcareandshare Frustration has a cause and effect that you've identified as something you have said...meltdowns generally aren't triggered by being told they can't have something. That said, it can escalate beyond frustration into a meltdown...that's where things get complicated :-)

A autistic meltdown is never a choice and is absolutely not bad behavior.

@autcareandshare Thank you so much for all of your responses. My settings were set so I didn’t have notifications from people who didn’t follow me 🙈 I’m now learning I appear ignorant to lots of people 🤦🏼‍♀️

@autcareandshare Can I ask how you distinguish between the two? As a mum of a little boy who has autism I can’t always tell them apart as some meltdowns start as frustration from being told no.
