Such a strange feeling to officially reach the goal of qualified teacher status 🥹 This year has been fun, crazy, exciting… and I’m so grateful for all of the wonderful people I have met along the way 🩷 I’m so proud and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for my ECT years! 😋

It was great to welcome Bridget Phillipson the Secretary of State for Education to Hucknall for World Book Day 📚🌏 Improving educational standards across this constituency is an absolute priority of mine. Where you are born should not determine your future. Here is just a snapshot of the visit that took place today:

I'm working with the Labour Government to ensure that EVERY child can achieve and thrive at school 🍎 That is why it was an absolute pleasure to welcome @bphillipsonMP, Secretary of State for Education, to @HucknallFHA - one of our fantastic 'Outstanding' schools here in Sherwood Forest. Ensuring all children have access to books is key to their development. As part of World Book Day, we discussed the importance of reading for pleasure and heard from the children all about their favourite books 📖

It was fantastic talk from @AoBrillWill today! ✨ His message about choosing to be positive was truly inspiring and uplifting 🌟 Such a simple yet powerful reminder and one we all need to hear sometimes! 😊

This term we’ve been exploring famous landmarks and fascinating myths from across the UK! 🌍 We followed a trail of clues all about the mystery of the Loch Ness Monster 🐉🔍 The children loved becoming little detectives as they uncovered the secrets of this legendary story! 🕵️‍♂️

Meet Barnaby, our very own ‘Everywhere Bear’. Children will take it in turns to take him home each weekend 🐻📚✨

This week’s enhancements have been a hit! 📚✨ The children absolutely loved our reading bingo, highlighting words as they found them kept everyone engaged and excited. Such a fun way to build reading skills! 😊🖍️

So incredibly proud of my class! 💫 This evening, they hosted their very own ‘Change 4 Life’ dinner party as part of our enquiry outcome 🍽️ They confidently shared their balanced diet dishes with their families, it was amazing to see all their learning come to life! 🍎🍕🫶🏽
