My uni does “RHD selfies” each week as they have so many external students. This was my recent contribution.

I’m going to be writing a chapter in a book! It’s focused around women in business (which I’m obviously not) but my chapter will be about me, barriers I’ve overcome and what I’ve learnt from it. And the idea we can do what we wanna do regardless of past experiences!

A few recent adventures…saw HYBPA recorded live in Melb, my grandad turned 96 (!!), Sasha turned 6 and disapproved of the birthday hat and we represented Story Dogs at a fundraising event

I don’t think I’ll get the scholarship as I’m not competitive enough but sometimes I let myself imagine it. This is my 5th degree and I worked full time for all the others. I was first in family at uni and worked FT basically from year 10 onwards at school 3/3

I already have the RTP fee offset as I’m a domestic student (so the gov is paying my PhD fees) but I currently work 22ish flexible hours a week, volunteer for Story Dogs one day a week and study full time 2/3

I’ve applied for an RTP stipend at my uni. It’s quite intimidating to do it as there are only 3 available and my pathway was “unconventional” so doesn’t meet the usual 1st class honours etc. 1/3

@CassHT I have the oasis (expensive) as I use it in the bath haha. I love it - can read in the dark, can carry all my books with me and I have kindle unlimited and make good use of that as well. Generally kindle books are cheaper than hard copies which makes my budget happy as well

Right then everyone…I need help! Who on here has a kindle? I am thinking of buying a paperwhite one (mainly because of not being able to carry enough books on our honeymoon) but I am just keen to hear the positives of having one. Please confirm whether it’s worth the money!🌙

@ides_of_mards Mine was much higher and was totally wrong. Despite numerous appeals and explanations they upheld it as I couldn’t produce all my payslips from 5yrs earlier. In the end my partner paid it off as I was so distressed. I got a full refund last year.

remembered my brother got a robodebt ($400ish? from a brief time on austudy) & he rang Centrelink to basically say "I don't believe this debt's accurate & tbqh I can tell the calculations you've based it on are unreliable, which doesn't seem legal & I'm going to challenge it" ...

We have used the “swarm of bees” tip to help the neurodivergent person in our family with pronoun usage. Really helped with developing correct usage and now it’s habit

I finally made it home after 23hrs awake and in Australian airports @Qantas. Disgraceful company but the service from the staff on the ground was kind and helpful - well done to them. My supervisor has been sent to melb today and still hasn’t made it home to Brisbane

Came home to this hidden under all the mail that arrived while I was gone. He’s a good egg!

@Qantas I flew from cbr-Syd this morning. On arrival, you cancelled my Syd-per flight and rebooked me for tomorrow. Then you cancelled that send me to melb. Then you cancelled that while I was trying to get to a hotel and booked me tonight. You just cancelled that one!! 1/2
