Key issues you’re skipping, The apostasy question was only asked to a subset of those who support Sharia, not all Muslims, It was only asked in 20 countries, not globally. Major populations like **Indonesia, Turkey, and much of Africa weren’t included in that specific question. The ‘full sample Egypt = 88% claim isn’t a standard Pew conclusion, it’s from selective reanalysis, not a global benchmark So when you jump to 200– 600 million worldwide, that’s not a measured statistic, that’s extrapolation layered on assumptions. What the data actually shows is this, There are regional differences, not a single global view. Turning that into hundreds of millions worldwide is exactly what Pew cautioned against.
