I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games.

in a sense yes but the two things are not mutually exclusive. “mixed messages” is another way to queerbait fans. it’s like gaslighting: telling them it won’t happen but teasing it nonetheless for marketing purposes

I think ppl often forget that queerbait is predominantly a marketing term that relies on plausible deniability. If the creators of a show say “it’s not gonna happen” and you still watch the show expecting a romance, you’re not being ‘baited’ by anyone but yourself.

@employedhamster I agree one hundred percent. The Addams are about celebrating what makes you different, not supressing it. Even if Wenclair doesn't make it to Canon, Weds having a best friend who learns to to like herself for being different instead of trying to fit in will be a PERFECT arc.
