My clients don’t ask me to find them BD’s with a good X following anymore They ask me for BD’s who: - Come with a plug and play institutional network - Have a tradfi background yet understand crypto tech/products - Located in New York or another major hub (most of the time) BD is changing in crypto.. it’s no longer just vibes, shitposting & announcing partnerships It’s focusing on real revenue, identifying ways to create more value and closing deals..

Interest rate swaps are a $500T market in TradFi. DeFi has no equivalent. Today we are thrilled to announce our $2.4M seed to change that. Led by @6thManVentures, with participation from @Lattice_Fund | @AdvancitCapital | @CompaVC $300M+ beta volume, @Alliance graduates, Mainnet coming soon. Whitepaper linked below ⬇️

Some of our best hires were totally unqualified on paper. They always had the same qualities: entrepreneurial, high agency, smart, mission aligned, and they got shit done. If you’re hiring, especially in early stages, seek out & bet on these people. Don’t over-index on resumes.

Excited to finally share this. We’re kicking off a long-term partnership with @FWDind to help grow @Solana. We believe liquid staking is the essential first step for institutions seeking yield on SOL and a way to supercharge their holdings. Companies, institutions, projects, treasuries, and individuals — all earning staking yield on Solana, powered by Sanctum.

1/ We’ve said it all year - LSTs are DAT's essential first step to maximize SOL/share. That’s why we’re proud to welcome @FWDind, the world's leading SOL DAT, to the Sanctosphere with $fwdSOL! The team has bootstrapped fwdSOL with ~25% of their SOL holdings (represented by over 1.7 million fwdSOL).

@KhanAbbas201 Because they give that responsibility to one of the devs if it's not just done by one of the co-founders. Even if a PM role gets posted, they will require previous engineering experience most of the time anyway.

We've seen an uptick in clients refusing/unable to pay their bills recently. If you can't afford to pay for a service, you shouldn't be accepting it - that's theft. Time to name and shame the bad actors is getting close I think.

This highlights an often forgotten upside of working with recs like us @PlexusRS as we: - Check in ahead of calls to ensure candidates can still attend - Shared the clients preferences/way of interviewing - Make sure they’re real and have a camera - Share what to expect on the calls and how to prepare First impressions are 🔑

2 years as a founder, and this is still the hardest part I'm facing: Hiring. Not because there's no good talent, but because 90% of people who apply treat this industry like a casino and don't take it seriously. I interviewed 20+ people last month: • 6 showed up on time. • 4 turned on their cameras. •3 actually prepared. If you can't take it seriously, why take the time to apply? If you want to get hired in Web3, just show up like it matters, and you'll already be ahead of 90% of people.

3 takeaways from our panel on crypto hiring @Zebu_live @DeanKD_ reminded us to vet companies as much as they vet us - speak to others who have worked there and get the tea - it’s important to make sure you’re aligned @Jib0xD shared that being a culture fit is of equal or more importance to a small team than skill. Once they meet the skill threshold it’s all about vibe @rokav_ said that it’s important for founders and hiring managers to have a real purpose and intention behind every hire, and not just meet headcount quotas because it never ends well If you could ask the panel a question about hiring in crypto, what would it be?

Interested to know how different founders filter for this within a standard interview process where they may only have a couple calls with the candidate. Regardless, I think there are some key ways we'd all agree you can show that you do actually give a shit: - Demonstrate knowledge of the project/team from the start - Have questions prepared that show interest & intention - Deliver any pieces of work or assignments back asap without sacrificing quality - Punctuality! Don't be late for the calls and show great communication throughout the process. What have I missed?
Santiago R Santos@santiagoroel

Hiring comes down to "Do they give a shit?" Like, really, really, really give a shit. I'll take a slightly less pedigreed candidate with relentless grit and unwavering loyalty over a pedigreed one who just doesn't care enough. Sometimes you don't need to compromise - and those are unicorns

We've handled thousands of offer stages over the years @PlexusRS and I can tell you.. 24 hours is crazy.. If both parties are aligned extremely well and comp is met, it could require less than 24 hours to decide anyway If not, this is where the 1 week deadline is fair to give. If they are rushing you for a decision within 24 hours, consider it a red flag.. your best interest is probably not being considered
nate@akachacolate

re: exploding offers have been in two situations already where either right before or immediately after an offer is extended, the team signals they require a signature by EOD offers that explode within a week are relatively common, but 24 hour expiry has been new
