Drama in one screenshot:
1) Sending Clawdbot email with prompt injection
2) Asking Clawdbot to check e-mail
3) Receiving the private key from the hacked machine
... took 5 minutes

The Trump admin proposed travel ban that places further visa restrictions on Russians and Belarussians is actually pretty anti-American.
Getting visas for engineers of Russian origin was already hellishly hard. Almost all of top US AI companies have either a CTO or a bunch of high-ranking researchers and engineers of Russian or Belarussian origin. Think X AI, Open AI, SSI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Tesla, Waymo, Perplexity AI, Microsoft, the list can go on forever.
These people came here on some kind of visa, before becoming Americans and contributing $billions to the economy. After Russia started the war, hundreds of thousands of talented tech professionals left Russia. Where are they? Cyprus, UAE, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Poland (mostly for Belarussians), and UK. Very very few made it into the US because of already complicated visa situation, despite hundreds of talented founders and engineers I know are still trying to get their visas.
This is what it currently takes to get any US visa for an unlucky holder of a Russian passport:
1) there is already no embassy in Russia or Belarus, so if you want to apply for a US Visa you need to do it in another country (that would let you in) and justify to the local US Embassy why you're applying there (obtain a local resident permit).
2) Anyone in tech or with a technical degree was already subject to additional admin checks, that took anywhere from 2 to 50 weeks. You ideally have got to stay in the country where you applied so you can appear in person for any additional questions they might have. I've got a portfolio founder who's robotics company is already making $15M ARR in the US, creating a few dozen of high skilled jobs here, while he's still stuck in Dubai waiting for his visa for 1.5 years. This is absolute bs.
The brain drain already happened, it didn't even require any investment, but the US just refuses to become its beneficiary. If they make getting visas even harder, or start suspending them, as proposed, we might find ourselves in a world, where these Russians will end up working for DeepSeek, Tencent, ByteDance, and Alibaba instead of OpenAIs and Teslas.

@AhJuicyKiwi @josefprusa Yeah, everything I mentioned is a user issue👌
English

@Mkukkk @josefprusa Definitely look into that and hopefully you reached out to @josefprusa about those issues. Because kinda sounds like a “user issue” 😂 Bambu lab isn’t god or almighty within the community whatsoever

Quite scary where the industry is moving, control of your data 🕵️♂️ In this case especially as one of their investors is IDG Capital - which was on US Dept. of Defense - Chinese military companies list 😯 and Article 7 (more in the thread) of National Intelligence Law kinda trumps all the good intentions defense. Disconnected from the internet and slicers/apps in a walled Virtual Machine is the only way to be safe. I dislike that I have to be the one to bring this information to public discourse, but these things are not much covered by our press while absolutely critical in an industry which is so vital for for new IP creation 💡1/
