Today in Baidoa, H.E. Abdulkadir Shariif Sheikhuna Maye officially assumed office as Minister of @MoH_SWSS following a formal handover ceremony. Congratulations to H.E. the Minister, and best wishes for success in advancing healthcare across the Southwest State of Somalia.

@MoH_SWSS participated in the ABC Meeting in Burhakaba district with @MoewrSws @unicefsomalia, @UNOCHA, & partners. The meeting focused on priority needs, coordination of humanitarian response, and strengthening health, nutrition & WASH services for vulnerable communities.

A joint mission led by the @MoH_SWSS, with the @MoewrSws and @unicefsomalia is underway in Burhakaba district. The team is assessing health, nutrition, WASH services by visiting health facilities, IDP sites and water points to identify key needs and strengthen service delivery.

South west state health minister, Mr. Said Ahmed Ali, today presided over a meeting with senior #MSFSomalia officials, led by Dr. Abubakar, MSF’s Operations manager for East and horn of Africa. They discussed strengthening cooperation and the health services MSF provides in the region. MSF pledged to expand its healthcare services to further districts and respond to emergencies. The Minister, on behalf of the ministry of health and the overall SWS conveyed his appreciation and thanks to MSF for their continued support. @MSF
