@greendragonhq We gotta start tar and feathering these guys again 😂 half of our Congress are millionaires working 140 days out of the year at 170k a year and we foot the bill for their extravagance with our 260 day a year jobs at a median wage of 63k a year..
English

I saw this video yesterday and assumed Mike Johnson was on SNL, that’s how outrageously out of touch the Republican party is.
Mike Johnson is actually making an argument that we should allow insider trading because his $170k/year salary is not enough to live off of.
This is the same guy that said a $7.25/hr minimum wage was enough to live on.
English

@jamesmartymcfly @FixingEducation What if I told you that they would still resort to bribes and corruption even if their pay was 400k a year. Criminals will be criminals. Greed is a very insidious thing and it’s never enough to the millionaires in Congress. Do you know that 53% of our Congress are millionaires?
English

@FixingEducation If politicians don’t get paid well, they will resort to bribes and corruption for extra money and that makes our situation worse!!
English

@MoValleyWelder @RZR_GUY @StealthQE4 Yes they are. The main consumers of door dash are young adults age 18-34, they make up 55% of their market. Door dash just had record profits. Americans are not hurting, they spend their money on dumb shit that is was overpriced, because th value convince over wealth.

@ArjunShukl95550 @Seanfrank @garrytan To cure cancer 😂😂 these data centers are going to be used to topple entire nations without us ever entering them.. average people see that their utilities are going to skyrocket and THEY’RE going to be the ones paying for it. THAT’S why they don’t like data centers.
English

@Seanfrank @garrytan It’s not about the data center. It’s about what it represents for pearl clutchers.
People don’t care that these data centered are literally going to help cure cancer. They only care about finding an axe to grind.
English

I don’t know why data centers have become this generations nuclear power.
Unlike nuclear power, there is a 0% chance that a data center can lead to any sort of disaster scenario.
This project in Utah is:
- in an uninhabited area
- bought and repurposed water already in use
- is bringing its own power, so it won’t cost citizens anything
It’s like being against building a nuclear power plant in the middle of Nevada, except there is no radioactive waste. No fall out. No risk of anything.
It’s a big computer in the middle of nowhere, that is self sufficient in all resources.
There are a million real problems in America.
Data centers just aren’t one.
Quick Thoughts@lthlnkso
I think the big Utah data center is fine.

@WarArchiveClips Have you ever met a soldier? I don’t know a single soldier that doesn’t have a dark sense of humor. Why don’t Ukrainian soldiers feel pity? Probably because that doesn’t win wars; certainly not ones you didn’t start.
English

@VerbJitsu @RZR_GUY @StealthQE4 It would be incredibly beneficial to be invested in the markets and have your money work for you and good for you that you are financially literate but a lot of people just aren’t in that position financially or even know where to start.
English

@VerbJitsu @RZR_GUY @StealthQE4 the reality is a majority of Americans ARE financially illiterate. Call us morons, retards, whatever.. doesn’t change the fact that there’s many Americans too focused on their 2-3 jobs and trying to tread water.

This has honestly puzzled me for years.
States are handing out tax breaks, discounted electricity, water rights, land, infrastructure upgrades, and incentive packages to AI data centers like they’re recruiting 50,000 factory jobs in 1978.
But after construction ends, many of these facilities employ fewer people than a Buc-ee’s.
Meanwhile they:
• consume staggering amounts of power
• drink water like a frat house in July
• stress local grids
• require taxpayer-funded infrastructure
• and send most of the long-term profits somewhere far away from the community that subsidized them.
So naturally I keep asking:
Who exactly is pitching this deal to state governments… and HOW are they making this sound like a “win-win-win”?
Because from the outside it sometimes looks more like:
• taxpayers fund the incentives
• citizens absorb the resource strain
• utilities quietly raise rates later
• and Wall Street gets a trillion-dollar valuation bump.
And yes… tax breaks ARE funded by taxpayers.
If someone still doesn’t understand that concept, please enjoy a nice comic strip, maybe a juice box, and we’ll revisit basic economics after recess. 😂
Now to be fair:
AI infrastructure absolutely matters.
The countries controlling compute, energy, chips, and AI orchestration may control the next century.
But if local communities are helping finance the future…
shouldn’t they receive SOMETHING besides orange construction cones and a promise?
At minimum:
• lower utility bills
• local ownership stakes
• long-term revenue sharing
• or enough jobs that people don’t need binoculars to find the parking lot employees.
Because right now the pitch sometimes sounds like:
“Good news everyone! We’re building a giant electricity vacuum next to your town. In exchange, you get… traffic.”
Polite question from the cheap seats:
What the actual WT* are we doing here? ☕😂

@MoValleyWelder @Clip_Station_ Doesn't matter when it closes, once a business says you are not welcomed that is it. Same at a restaurant, same at a bar, same at book store. A business has every right to refuse your patronage ie gtfo.
English

@GuntherEagleman Because in the United States there is infinitely better opportunities, capital, access to technology, and programs to succeed? 😂 why would a seed grow in fertile soil is what you’re asking..
English

@mro_mark @LaurenWitzkeDE We’re living in 2026 bud. The price is over a dollar more a gallon than it was a few months ago and not all of us get the luxury of taking jobs closer to home. For the people living paycheck to paycheck the price of gas is up.

English

@Slayerburner @Clip_Station_ You’re assuming too much. Gym closes at 9 bud. Not 8:15. They fired the manager for a reason.
English

@MoValleyWelder @Clip_Station_ Over some steps and lifting weights? That is just idiotic. Weve only seen things from the customers perspective. Most likely the woman asked him nicely they were closing and then had to grab a manager cause he didnt want to leave. A membership is a privilege not ownership.
English

@jaqwagon @Siya_twts You can’t be weak for long with bigger girls. You’ll get a hernia, papa 😜 these women are made for the strong. 💪🏽
English

@theBlackflag76 @Siya_twts Speak for yourself bud. The only reason I lift in the gym is so I can get stronger and lift my beautiful curvy woman and make her feel weightless. The skinny girls ain’t it.
English

@KO_Sequence Karen? No. She comes off as maybe mentally ill and or having severe PTSD possibly from some past abuse from a man. She needs a lot of therapy, a good support system, and maybe some meds. Annoying and combative? Yes, but she’s a victim who hasn’t healed.
English

@Slayerburner @Clip_Station_ Nah sometimes you gotta stand your ground. The gym closes at 9, not 8:15. I pay enough to these gyms. They can clean everything around me and treat me with respect until I leave. PF corporate isn’t ok with the 45 minute early closings otherwise it would be posted on the door
English

@Clip_Station_ Regardless what the situation is, once you get kicked out of an establishment get the fuck out. I dont care if they dont like your face, your hair, whatever, if it aint off some racist shit and they got a valid reason get the fuck out.
