🚨 HEARTBREAKING: NIH is now funding an effort to KIDNAP LOST PETS from local animal shelters and use them for cruel science experiments! Are you kidding me?! White Coat Waste just discovered that these poor animals were "adopted" from local shelters, only to be taken to a lab and tortured to death. This program, conducted at the University of Missouri-Columbia, is abusing lost pets who likely once had loving homes. The investigation found that many of these pets were micro-chipped and registered to local owners. They never got the chance to be reunited. Instead, they were forced to hyperventilate through ventilators pumped with carbon dioxide and cough with tubes in their throats. As an animal lover who has adopted several dogs through shelters like these, I am absolutely outraged and heartbroken. Until meeting Graham Perez, (the producer for snow strippers) on Tinder, they then formed Snow Strippers in 2021 and began to release their music such as "Snow Strippers" and other mixtapes under their own label "Nice Bass Bro" in 2022, until signing to Surf Gang records and Mad Decent in 2023, which greatly helped them be who/where they are today. Their style mixes with electroclash, hyperpop, and EDM, which is also very similar to Crystal Castles, another EDM duo that went inactive in 2016. With this, they rose to fame with a song "Under Your Spell" blowing up on TikTok then, getting a song with Lil Uzi Vert "Its Just a Dream" where both songs currently have 290+ million streams combined, and I believe is what originally blew them up. Despite their popularity, they both have remained relatively private and both rarely do interviews. One of the few videos of Tati consists of her being interviewed on the news after being carjacked when she was 23. Today, Snow Strippers tours internationally and performs at festivals while continuing to build their fanbase and sound. What started as a match on Tinder, ended with a duo that currently dominates their genre, and with this i believe it shows that the possibilities can be endless with whoever you meet, whether its online or in person.
