We must once again recommit ourselves to one Nation under God, indivisible.
Therefore, we must restore the military draft for our Nation’s young people.
Each and every American, at eighteen years of age, must serve two years of military service. They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity.
Being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled Freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world.
However, these Freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost.
By protecting and preserving these Freedoms, young people, regardless of race, creed or religion will be united in service to their country and just as importantly, to each other.
Many Nations around the world require their young citizens to serve their country. Until recently, our Nation did as well.
This would serve many purposes in our society; We would have all of our young men and women put into a rigorous physical training course that they could use for the rest of their lives, we would always have a standing army ready at all
times including for domestic problems like natural disasters.
Unlike in today’s Universities, our young people will learn how truly great their country is and how unique and incredible are the Freedoms that this Nation bestows upon them. Service is a solemn reminder of the men and women before them who “paid the last full measure of devotion” so that we may enjoy these Freedoms.
Also, very importantly, we would have in service every segment of our society represented so that our elected officials would be more hesitant and not cavalier about sending their own sons and daughters off to a faraway war unless it was truly in our Nation’s interests.
This discussion and implementation must begin.
To the young people of America, this is your country and your future. We will leave this great and Free Nation in your good hands for your children and for your children’s children.

Just spent over $110 to fill up my gas tank. Took two separate sessions because Sam’s Club pumps stop at $100 and then you have to start all over again. But hey, at least we’re also mired in another Middle East war. Nothing better than Joe Biden’s inflation combined with George W. Bush’s foreign policy.

The biggest takeaway from CPAC: The youth are ours. We were recognized everywhere. Staffers, media, college group presidents, influencers, and political candidates. Everyone who loved us was under 40 and completely aligned on the biggest issues. -The next generation won’t support Israel. -They are done with egalitarianism. -They are not race blind. -Even women we talked to agreed women probably shouldn’t vote. Time’s up.

People hate when I say it, but it's true:
If your classroom looks like the Pinterest board of a Ms. Rachel wannabe, it is distracting to the students. This is particularly true for the kids with ADHD.
Treating your room as an outlet for your personal expression is a selfish and immature thing to do which actually has negative impact on your students.

You know those classrooms with neon posters, dangly's on the ceiling, and 100 different displays? They're bad for learning. Children become "distracted," spending "more time off task and demonstrating "smaller learning gains when the walls were highly decorated."

Most of the time if kids are doing a lot of homework outside of class is usually because they wasted time in class.
Math is a subject that does see an elevated amount of outside work. My classes do not unless the students wasted class time and are running up against a deadline.

I’m with this teacher. We always use our own time to mark work, so exactly when we decide to fit that time in around our private lives is entirely up to us and quite frankly no one else’s business!

So my daughter had a test and asked her teacher if she was going to grade them over the weekend so she could know her grade on Monday. Her teachers reply “I’m not spending my weekend grading papers.” Okay then.. moving forward my children will not spending their after school hours doing hours of homework. They will not spending their weekend working on projects. They can do that during school time then.

They looked put together. Teachers today look like they don’t care. the way you show up contributes to the environment you work in. this may be one of the factors into why kids behave the way they do. take the profession seriously so the kids can take you seriously

I wear jeans and hoodies and/or super hero t-shirts most days.
In my first years of teaching I dressed more formally.
It just didn’t work for me, and the kids picked up on it.

I’m one of the more popular teachers at my school. I just teach English and students beg their counselors to transfer to my class. And the way I dress has nothing to do with it and will die on that hill. I’m known as the cool 80’s teacher with the amazing 80’s arcade games on my counter that is also a die hard Seahawks fan. Screw a tie.

@fvckerysprinkle The weekend is not my contract hours. I also do not assign homework. I may have to do some grading outside of school just like my students may have to do some classwork at home but neither is required.
