Yes, we hate it because it's AI. Do you even remotely understand why we would hate it because it's AI? Because AI is trained on artists work, without permission. and uses this training to alter artists work, AGAIN without permission. The end result is theft and destruction of art. Just because you subjectively think it looks better does not make it OK to both steal art and use that stolen art to change another artist's work. Frankly anyone who's ok with this is just ignorant of what is actually happening here.

I am seriously so annoyed by all those AI haters. DLSS5 looks phenomenal; people hate on it cause „it’s AI“. That’s the sole reason.

I'm sure the implementation won't be quite as extreme as this, but if you don't want your new product bashed as an AI slop filter, then don't turn all the dials up to max settings in your tech demo to make it look like an AI slop filter.

Just because there's a photorealism filter people think game devs would use it for everything. They've got photo realism a long time ago, but I don't see Mario or Ratchet and Clank suffer by not using it. Devs aren't stupid, its a tool. If it fits, they'll use it, if it doesn't it doesn't get used.
