only if you dont have local fish thats rich in omega-3's deep sea fish tend to have heavy metals in them. fish season is winter in winter your body can have more unsaturated fats in cells in many beings during cold adaptation, the cell membranes have more unsaturated fatty acids less saturated fatty acids this mechanism is seen strongly in fish, plants, bacteria in humans, we dont have as much data on it. its called "homeoviscous adaptation" DHA also serves purpose in light biology. having DHA in retina, brain is crucial. if youre going to hardcore peat and avoid omega-3's completely, you need to be light adjusted. you need abundance of light and heat. if you have fish locally, you need to eat it.
