@adrianjclarke Arsenal could - and should - have gone for Semenyo the previous summer. It was clear to everyone they needed a left winger. Guehi's wages were only especially high in Jan as he was a free in the summer. It's all about planning.

If I was his coach, I would’ve told him to do a Rice action from the defense line (ball-carrier), and either DM’s should cover for him.

Madueke was particularly unreliable, but I go back to Raya's decisions to consistently kick long. Hincapié was also technically insecure.
But I also look at someone like Saliba.
We know what he's capable of.
Can he step into midfield? Or demand that Arsenal don't boot it?!

City’s additions lately are all exemplifying this key upgrade in modern football. Cherki, Guehi and Semenyo. All two-footed ballers. Check the 2nd goal against Chelsea yesterday.
