A South African-registered Toyota Quantum minibus taxi exploded on the Bulawayo-Beitbridge Road in Zimbabwe yesterday afternoon, killing 18 people. The blast occurred near the Much Binding area between Chipangali and the Gwanda tollgate, with one body found about 100 metres from the scene. Authorities suspect the vehicle may have been carrying gas bottles or explosives due to the severity of the explosion.
