Let me show you my example which illustrates the cruelty of British residents in EU countries not having FoM after Brexit. We live in Ayamonte, a Spanish town on the border with Portugal. The River Guadiana separates the two countries.

@the_frypod Me too Paul. I've made so many friends through twitter, some who are now IRL great friends. I've loved it, but I fear for it now. Whatever happens, we'll stay in touch via some platform or other. Our twitter family is too important to lose xx

I've gone & done it. Created an escape from Musk's twitter on Mastodon. I'm there as KarenK_in_Spain@mastodon.green if anyone's interested & it's not as difficult as I thought to set up. Staying here for a while in the hope it doesn't all go to shit.

What's happening to Twitter is terrifying. Almost everything is pretty scary right now & I'm fighting the very privileged urge to give up & get on with my 'relatively untouched by the chaos' life. I won't because some people can't walk away. The despair is real though.

@SarahRosemary3 Well he's in debt to a faction of the ERG, because it seems even they're divided now. Debts are always called in, so yeah, he's already weak. Plus he appears to have pissed Mordaunt off & I'm not sure she's a woman to mess with.
