@FLCons I used to think like this, until I had an autistic son who is extremely difficult to bring anywhere in public. He doesn’t understand discipline for the most part. Perhaps this child has a disability

You pop into the donut place and you see this from the woman and 2 boys ahead of you. Do you say something or do you mind your business? Now let me ask: Should people START confronting this kind of lack of parenting more often? 🤔

Fight the good fight! Catholics, the time is now. Rally the forces! We must stand united against all the wicked forces which desire to silence us. No more! The enemy of our soul never sleeps. If we don’t take ground, we will either remain where we are, bombarded by the enemies of our soul, or we will be crushed! Catholics, let’s take the hill for Christ! Use your words, use the Word! Take up your Rosaries, take up the Scriptures, take up the Church’ teaching, and engage! Enter into the public square and share the faith with the strength, love, and compassion of Christ! Do not be afraid! If God is for us, who can be against us? Do not let the world, the flesh, or the devil silence your Catholic voice! If we do not engage the spiritual war taking place, we are doomed. No longer is it sufficient to hope somebody else will do it. We must act! Let your voices be heard! Witness in the work place, witness in church, witness at school, witness in the public square, witness in private conversations, witness wherever you are in the world! We need witnesses now more than ever. Pray, pray everyday, pray like you have never prayed before, because if prayer is not front and center, our efforts are mere activism. Be Bold, Be Courageous, Be Catholic! Catholics, fight for the Church and for the kingdom of God! Mary is our Queen leader, and Christ is King of kings! No more cowardice, no more effeminacy, no compromises. Just victory in the name of Christ. Catholics, unite! “Fight like a knight.” Saint Joan of Arc

Do you know the name Tyson Goodsell?? I didn’t know it. He was killed by a gang of Somalis in Minnesota. Somehow the legacy media missed this story. I wonder if they would’ve missed a story about a gang of white boys slaughtering a Somali teenager?

I’m sure you all remember Avery Jackson, the “trans girl” who, at 9, was on the cover of National Geographic in January of 2017. Avery was given the gold standard in gender affirming care: he was chemically castrated and sterilized with “blockers” to hold off male puberty. Now Avery has come out as “nonbinary” and chosen not to pursue transition, meaning that his puberty was blocked for no reason — but that’s not the worst part. He also identifies as asexual, meaning that he doesn’t experience sexual attraction. This is undoubtedly the result of the medication used to delay male puberty. The president of WPATH, Dr, “Marci” Bowers, has said on camera that so-called puberty blockers, which are used to chemically castrate sex offenders, chemically castrate the young boys who take them as well, leaving them incapable of arousal or orgasm. For adult sex offenders, the process is reversible. For boys like Avery, the effects are permanent. He will never feel sexual attraction, or any of the experiences that accompany it. He is also completely sterile; he will never father a child, and his own childhood was spent in the national spotlight. The blockers he was given have also stunted his physical and mental development in irreversible ways. We know from the experiences of other “trans” children that he will never sexually mature - neither physically nor emotionally. All of these things were stolen from him, and he has said that transitioning “ruined my life.” It’s high time that we stop pretending that children can make an informed decision to transition or take blockers, even if their doctors are honest about the risks and consequences — which most are not. Blockers are not a pause button. They are not reversible. The intellectual deficits they cause will never repair themselves, and neither will the damage done to the child victim’s body, or to their emotional intelligence and maturity. This will, of course, make it easier to push them into transitioning; ie, to sell them hormones and provide surgical alterations. Parents like Avery’s, who try to monetize their child’s struggles with gender identity, belong in prison, not on television, and so do the doctors and politicians who were complicit in his chemical castration and sterilization.

Remember Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian woman who spent 8 years on death row after being accused of “blasphemy” for drinking water from a Muslim’s cup. Asia was working in the fields with her Muslim coworkers. She got thirsty and went to fetch water from the well, where she took a drink with an old metal cup she had found. That’s all it took. Christians are considered dirty and impure in Islam, and she was accused of attempting to contaminate the Muslims’ water just by drinking from their cup. She was sentenced to death by hanging. The governor of her province voiced opposition to the verdict and was assassinated by his own bodyguard. When she was finally acquitted in 2018 due to international pressure, tens of thousands of Muslims rioted, demanding her immediate execution. A local poll found that 10 MILLION Pakistanis would personally kill her if given the chance. Just for drinking water from a Muslim’s cup. Her lawyer had to flee the country. And after months in hiding, she was finally able to escape Pakistan and received asylum in Canada. This is Pakistan, where non-Muslims live under the constant threat of death. The more I learn about this country, the more it just feels like ISIS with a formal government.

@sarahsalviander Yep! I noticed this in college as a biology major. I would bring up legitimate questions on evolution, and the professors would get angry. I spoke to a professor privately about it and he said they know the theory has major flaws, they just don’t want belief in God.

I once talked with a colleague at a black hole conference whose brother challenged her on Darwinian evolution. In her argument with him, she was startled to realize she couldn't explain why she believed it – she just did. Another colleague, astrophysicist Martin Gaskell, was the top candidate for an observatory director job. Internal emails later showed he was passed over because of his scientific skepticism toward Darwinism – his doubt wasn't faith-driven, just evidence-based. He lost a job in *astronomy* because of scientific skepticism of Darwinian evolution. As a grad student (before I was Christian), I asked a biology peer why his research – which challenged a core tenet of Darwinism – wasn't better known. Why wasn't it in the mainstream science news? I will never forget his reply: "Because it would hand a victory to the Christians." These stories highlight what Stephen Meyer observes: for many, Darwinian evolution has become a de facto religious creed. It's more about affirming worldview fidelity than dispassionate science. When questioning a theory is treated as heresy, it's dogma, not the "question everything" spirit of genuine scientific inquiry. Note: This is not an invitation to squabble with me about Darwinism. I'm still studying the evidence and haven't settled on a firm view. But Meyer is right: treating it as unquestionable turns science into a secular religion.
Jan Jekielek@JanJekielek

Stephen C. Meyer says Darwin’s theory of evolution has, for many, become more like a religion than a scientific theory. “Darwinian evolution functions as a kind of secular religion.” “And you can see why, because it's answering one of the most fundamental questions that any worldview or religion has to answer.” “Which is what is the thing or the entity or the process from which everything else came?” “And the neo-Darwinian explanation of the origin of new forms of life is part of the answer to that really fundamental question, which is not only a scientific question but a philosophical worldview question.” “Because it functions like a secular religion, sometimes there's resistance to a more dispassionate scientific evaluation of its merits.” @stephencmeyer

NEW: The University of St. Thomas, a private Catholic school in Minnesota, appears to have Islamic washing stations on campus. Yesterday, Alpha News received a tip that a restroom in St. Thomas' Anderson Student Center has a watering pot that is for "ritual washing for Muslim prayers." A photo of the watering pot and an accompanying sign was submitted to Alpha News. That photo is below. In response to the photo and a media inquiry, St. Thomas sent Alpha News the following statement: "St. Thomas views welcoming and providing an inclusive environment for students of all faiths (be they Christian, Jewish, Muslim or others) as an expression of its Catholic identity. These efforts include everything from our Bible studies and three daily Catholic Masses to ablution stations."

The New Testament didn’t exist during Jesus’ life and ministry It wasn’t canonized for 350 years There was no “sola scriptura” in the early Church Nobody came to church with a Bible tucked under their arm. Most of them couldn’t have read it anyway because of such high illiteracy rates They did, however, attend Mass and receive the Eucharist and had priests, bishops and deacons Scripture is a later addition to the faith. It was written by apostles and canonized by the Church long after the Church had already been venerating Mary and asking for the Saints’ intercession Christ left a Church, not a Bible. The Bible gets its authority from the Church. So if that same Church tells me to pray the rosary, I’m gonna do it
