@slack2thefuture Just for clarification: What if she just wings it? Would outlining a general plan for segments & improv be considered writing if a non-member does it?
English

@JudiciaIreview @InternetH0F I thought it was because he'd hooked up with his biological sister and mum was trying to keep them apart.
English

@MoBatEnjoyer @erika @FiverMacGyver @nomad_therapist @TheTriarii @Mormonger @aaronpalmer @DrJenGunter Their choice is to not do this in the first place. The end.
English

@erika @FiverMacGyver @nomad_therapist @TheTriarii @Mormonger @MommaTRex @aaronpalmer @DrJenGunter *Hushed whisper*
Don't tell anyone, but the point of proxy priesthood ordinances in the temples is to give them a choice.
English

Seriously? If the "Church" legit did what you say they are doing, they would be claiming they have about 15 billion members 😂 Quit overthinking it. Members do their genealogy work to identify their ancestors, then do proxy baptisms for those ancestors to give them an opportunity to accept the faith or not.
English

@MoBatEnjoyer @aaronpalmer @erika @nomad_therapist @DrJenGunter Stop. Stop pissing on other people’s graves so that you can feel special about yourselves. They have a sincerely held belief that they don’t want you to ever do this to them. So stop. Stop and think about someone else’s feelings for a change, versus your need to feel superior
English

@MommaTRex @aaronpalmer @erika @nomad_therapist @DrJenGunter So on one hand, I have a sincerely-held religious belief that the Lord wants us to do this (1 Corinthians 15:29) and that it's performed through authority only Christ's restored Church holds.
On the other hand, some people on Twitter are mad about it.
Whatever will we do?
English

@MoBatEnjoyer @aaronpalmer @erika @nomad_therapist @DrJenGunter YOU would be upset. Fine. Then YOU get baptized. Leave other people alone
English

@MommaTRex @aaronpalmer @erika @nomad_therapist @DrJenGunter If a descendant of mine converted to another faith and sincerely thought a prayer or ritual could help me in the afterlife, I'd be upset if they DIDN'T do it.
English

@RachelFogletto Do you mean like when I talk about when whosit brought me a thingamajig, and then we listened to that one song (you know, it goes dah-duh-dah-duh dah-dah daaaaahhhh). I wish it was like that other time, when I took the hoopymawhatsit and that person who isn’t whosit was there too
English

@aaronpalmer @erika @nomad_therapist @DrJenGunter And it’s a good one. One that most people would agree with it. The fact that you don’t understand how upsetting this is to others is a testament to how close-minded your church is
English

@OneLonePatriot1 @DrJenGunter You don’t get to decide what a dead person would have wanted. The end.
English

@Blackbunnyfibrz @DrJenGunter John 3:5
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."
Christians understand that all must be baptised in the name of Christ to be saved. A loving God will provide opportunities for salvation for all his children.
English

@NotWellInZion @daBookdragon @DrJenGunter It’s extremely disrespectful. Stop. Just stop doing it. It’s not that difficult to stop messing with other people. If you want to be LDS, fine. Just get off my lawn
English

I'm not trying to discount your position, I'm just trying to understand. But how does it affect you?
If a) the Church is not true b) if say, the Church is true and two missionaries approach you in the spirit world, and you tell them to go away. You won't be baptized against your will. Or, c)if there is no afterlife then none of this matters anyway.
If none of what we do is true, and you are dead, then it's literally like your brother writing your name down on a piece of paper, pretending that you're alive on the other side, and doing something in love, that he really believes in. If you're dead, and none of this is true, then how does this negatively affect you?
English

@HighVibeEnjoyer @fuckyouiquit You used a pronoun in your reply. You’re a pronoun person!
English

@been_herde But how weird is it that as a society (this country, not all others), we know that “How are you doing today?” is just a way of greeting people, where a real answer isn’t expected
English

@nezlernetwork @_ItsKebb I’m 54 years old, and if I want some LEGO set, I’m buying that LEGO set
English

@_ItsKebb And people wonder why kids grow up and still like “childish” things, because they weren’t allowed to like those things when they were a kid
I’m also a senior, and i still love things like stuffed animals and legos and things most people would consider “chldish” for my age
English

@KristinChirico Reminds me of a Jerry Seinfeld bit where he wonders why detergents advertise that they get blood stains out. “Who’s got all these blood stains?” 🙄 (He was not being ironic. He really didn’t seem to have a clue.)
English

@theladykroft @fuckyouiquit If you want to spend the day at the beach, find coverage. If a family member dies, that’s a nope.
English

@seananmcguire I’m in the simple/silly/fun gift camp. For my friend’s husband, I gave him a crochet mobius strip fidgeter. I was crocheting a bunch randomly for fun (they’re pretty quick to make)
English

@seananmcguire I mean, he’s a cat, so chance of him murdering you in your sleep IS greater than zero 😹
English

@sexandtheswiss @ask_aubry My husband is short (5’4”), but he does not have a bad attitude about it. Generalizations suck and can be a starting point for prejudice
English

@ask_aubry Short guys have attitudes, it's not a myth.
