@NicNegrepontis It’s all good. It looks like they’ll help with your rebuild. You might get pick 2 after this seasons finished too

Is it a knee jerk reaction to say Carlton should drop Will Hayward? Handed away two goals. Zero impact. Hasn’t been particularly impressive this season. Would give Flynn Young a go, for whatever it matters.

@JoshGarlepp Do you think if Carlton just kick more goals than the other team, they will win?

A huge improvement, but a missed opportunity to do it properly. Every restriction is a positive change, but nowhere near far enough: - 3 ads an hour between 6am and 8.30pm is still 42 ads a day. - Kids don't just listen to radio in the car. - And age-based bans will be gamed.

@Matt_Camenzuli Do you think trucking companies roll back their fuel levy’s because the fuel excise has been cut? No. It makes inflation more sticky. It’s a supply shortage, doesn’t help the underlining issue here.

If Albo really wants to help Australians, he would scrap the fuel excise completely and exclude fuel from the GST. Right now. People are struggling. The residential building industry is on the verge of collapse. We are in the middle of a housing crisis and builders on fixed price contracts are copping price increases driven by shipping costs - due to fuel increases - and they were already struggling. If they collapse, Australia collapses. And the housing shortage will explode. It really is that simple. #auspol #qt

@claudedwalker @Rizzabeast I understand it’s a start but I feel they need to use their platform and push something that will actually work. You know these companies will move the needle to not make a profit

Aussies pay $8B in alcohol excise every year (beer $2.7B alone) — direct tax on every drink. Meanwhile, gas giant Santos paid just US$17m (A$26m) Australian corporate income tax in 2024 on hundreds of millions profit — near 0% effective rate after deductions. (They paid more in royalties/PRRT, but still low corporate tax for years.) One company digs up & sells our resources… yet drinkers often pay more tax per slab than these giants pay in company tax.

@SpecialSitsNews Are they just not willing to pay for it? You would think prices would adjust so diesel is always available at some price

Australia has high equity prices, low productivity growth, high inflation, interest rates hikes, and now we are having fuel shortages with a bad oil crunch (no local supply). Ive been adding to Australian shorts like $ZIP, $WES, $CBA, $ARB, $SEK, $TWE, $BAP. Other ideas welcome!!

I've seen enough. Shut it down. The 'Future Made in Australia' thing is just expensive feel-good, vote-buying slush. Maybe (some of) the projects are worthwhile. There's a *chance* they make money from the investments. But this isn't the role of government.

'Reconstruction' fund? Investing in quantum computing? I'm not sure I want the government playing 'angel investor' with taxpayers' money. A sovereign wealth fund, sure. But not this.

Current ytd performance. Overall, after a very good 2025 I'm pretty happy. I got a bit unlucky with timings as I was caught a bit offside in Japan as the Iran war stuff all went down, I wasnt paying much attention to markets at the time.
