Sustainable housing uses less energy, water, and materials—making homes healthier, more resilient, and cheaper to live in. When paired with good planning, local materials, and inclusive policies, sustainability lowers long-term costs and keeps housing affordable for all.

It was almost comical that both the board and Felder were trying to have the other side state a definitive point. The board clearly wants Felder to say whether he's going to push to delay RCV, while Felder wants to board to tell him whether he should push to delay it or not.

From the beginning, we made clear that the military should not be policing American citizens on American soil. Normalizing the use of military troops for domestic law enforcement sets a dangerous precedent. This federal overreach is not normal or legal. nytimes.com/2025/11/20/us/…

WHOA. The FBI was/is spying on a Signal chat for a New York immigration court watch group, claiming they were “anarchist violent extremist actors.” Your reminder that the government is watching and don’t say anything in a big group chat you wouldn’t say on TV.

"the practice of military lawyers serving as immigration judges may not automatically be a Posse Comitatus violation, but an active military status alone could be enough for an immigrant to challenge a deportation ruling."
Celine Castronuovo@cecelou18

The DOJ's legal opinion backing the use of military lawyers as immigration judges is drawing scrutiny from legal scholars who say the move represents an unprecedented expansion of the executive branch’s authority. For @BLaw, with @SuzanneMonyak: news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/do…

Just a terrible way to legislate. And it should be noted that these DC Council breakfast meetings aren’t officially recorded (or easily accessible to watch), even though it’s where the most intriguing (and consequential) policy debates often occur…
Martin Austermuhle@maustermuhle

Oh my... the D.C. Council is now using its breakfast meeting to discuss tax policy ahead of a vote on an emergency bill that would set some tax policy for the year. There's been no public hearing on this bill, nor an amendment that would direct some revenues to specific programs.
