A governance attack occurred on Polymarket, where a UMA tycoon used his voting power to manipulate the oracle, allowing the market to settle false results and successfully profit. The tycoon cast 5 million tokens through three accounts, accounting for 25% of the total votes. Polymarket is committed to preventing this from happening again.

The event outcomes are determined by a group of influential users who secure positions and then vote in their favor, regardless of the actual results. Check out this market: polymarket.com/event/ukraine-… It was counted as a YES by the UMA whales, even though absolutely nothing happened. The rules clearly state, "The resolution source for this market will be official information from the governments of the US and Ukraine." Yet, there is no confirmation of the deal or the outcome of the decision. The deal has not been signed or officially announced, but the market is calculated as YES. Previously, two markets with EXACTLY THE SAME CONDITIONS were calculated as NO: 1) [Ukraine agrees to Trump mineral deal today] -polymarket.com/event/ukraine-…) 2) [Ukraine agrees to Trump mineral deal by Friday] - polymarket.com/event/ukraine-… Nothing has changed since then regarding the mineral deal. The only difference is that the markets were too small for those managing the results, so they had no interest there. This is absolutely disgusting and can only be called fraud. If @Polymarket and @shayne_coplan does not take any action on this, I will never use this site again, and I advise you to avoid it as well. Please repost so more people see this post
