Unless I've missed something then I think this might be a misunderstanding? YouTube disabled the SRV3 subtitle format, including existing ones due to (apparently) a bug. support.google.com/youtube/thread… SRV3 was mainly used for stylised subtitles for music videos etc, all other normal subtitles are fine at the moment and if this their post is true, it should hopefully come back anyway Regardless modern youtube still sucks anyway

@SongEternal Yep, those. I can tell you what the tipping point for me reaching the conclusion that I'm close to the tipping point for leaving was though! Then removing human made subtitles to replace them with AI generated ones. They're literally changing what we say.

YouTube is starting to suck a bit too much for me. Can't see me continuing to pay for premium much longer if they keep this up. What are you favorite youtube alternatives? Maybe we just start our own economy without all the fuckwits.

Recent events

No seriously when I got diagnosed with UC last year during my first massive flare up, I had quit cold turkey smoking/vaping by complete chance due to vacation and then long hospital stay. On my first outpatient visit a month later, while running through the general "check" questions I was asked if I smoke and I said I recently quit just before/during the flare starting. My nurse then kindly informed me that stopping smoking probably contributed to it being as bad as it is. VERY SPECIFICALLY SHE DID /NOT/ TELL ME TO START SMOKING AGAIN but implied that if I was going to, probably better to do it soon I decided to resume vaping (w/ nic) and just requit later, and yep my symptoms definitely got better. Its fucking bizarre
