Thank you Dr. Brad Nadelstein, Veterinary Ophthalmologist and Dana and Rodney Lusher from Nature’s Nanny Wildlife Rehabilitation for sharing your expertise with HSA students today. We even had an extra special guest, Sunny, the Great Horned Owl!

Instead of, "I am proud of you." Try, "I appreciate..." or "I admire..." 🧡 "While 'I'm proud of you' implies that my students should work to please me, 'I admire' tells them they have qualities I respect." —Tarn Wilson 4/6

Instead of, "What's wrong?" Try, "What's happening for you today?" ☀️ “This simple change in language can set the conversation up completely differently. It lets students know you're on their side and are ready to listen.” —Emma McFarlane 2/6

Today was the Out of the Darkness Walk to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Bayside High School showed up and raised over $1000 in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention! So proud of these kiddos. #wearefamily #keepmakingbaysideproud
