Playstation is so desperate for good PR that they've called in the Game Journalists to defend them because literally nobody else will, not even console fanboys. Pathetic.

I think it's kinda insane that major gaming journalism outlets are spreading misinformation (borderline propaganda) in a sly attempt to sway people towards accepting the death of physical games thanks to PlayStation. Never stop fighting back against it.

Why stop with Sony, boycott Rockstar. GTA 6 is a digital only release. Demand they put it on Disc. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Circana isn’t an independent research institute it’s a private company that provides market data to paying clients and is owned by Hellman & Friedman. Because of that, I think it’s fair to question potential conflicts of interest. The timing certainly raises questions. Don’t believe it. Circana spreading anti-physical notions again? We are shocked. Shocked, we tell you. How much is "more than 100.000"? What if we count, let's say, all that went over 50k or 25k? Would not sound as dooming as just 7 then, probably? And how does the US fit into the global narrative around physical games, when there are games like Rhythm Heaven Groove that sold half a million copies in two weeks in Japan alone? Always interesting which developments certain analysts choose to present. E.g., did anybody report that revenue from physical games went up for Sony last year?

If you needed more proof that this IS NOT GOING AWAY, here you go. Sony tried to pay off media outlets to make it look like the outrage was dying down. It didn’t work. They have to answer to investors on September 30th. Hopefully the CEO and execs get axed. Keep fighting!
