The other is that he might be safe to be around compared to single men.

@girlma_ The unfortunate truth is men get complimented so rarely when they hear it. They either think it’s because the woman is interested in them or they’re so flattered they want to keep the conversation going because they’re basking in the warmth.

I saw a post saying that men rarely get compliments and that maybe women should compliment them more often. The next day, I told a guy at a coffee shop that I liked his jacket. He took it as an invitation to keep talking, followed me out, and wouldn't leave me alone until I walked into a busy store. It was a pretty quick reminder that the reason many women hesitate isn't because they're rude. It's because not everyone hears a compliment as just a compliment.

I don't care if you loved THE ODYSSEY or hated it. Your opinion is perfectly valid just as long as you judge the film on its own merits. But if you're mad about a Black Helen of Troy or a trans actor in the cast, you're fighting a losing battle in a culture war where only one side bothered to show up. The rest us just shrug and worry about real things that are actually hurting our country. If you can't enjoy any movie unless the cast is exclusively White and cis-het, you're gonna have a hard time finding anything new to watch. As far as I can tell the only music you have left other than country is Kid Rock, the artist formerly known as Kanye, and Ted Nugent. Even things like the NFL – the most all-American sport God ever invented – are now off-limits because they are suddenly too "woke" for you. You're not winning because the rest of us aren't playing that game. All you're doing is making your world – and your own teeny-tiny little mind – ever smaller with each passing day. Until there's nothing left but anger, alienation, AI slop, and internet porn. And the pool of women who will want to date you has shrunk down to the size of a single drop of water
