I've found the mainstream VTuber circle to be fairly toxic and easy to bend out of shape over the most ridiculous stuff, so I just stay away from them unless they do something way too obnoxious to ignore. I've met a few really good people in the process, but I've met way more obnoxious control freaks than people I'd actually want to hang out with.

Nah, those places are just as bad about exclusivity as the worlds on VRChat. It’s not a you problem; it’s a them problem. A lot of those places talk a good game but don’t live up to it when it comes to actually doing it. You didn’t do anything wrong you just found a place that has power tripping admins.
