Research on the effect of migrants on public finances in Finland found that Somalis had a net lifetime cost of € 951,000, while Iraqis cost almost € 700,000. When the migrants’ children were added, the figure for Somalis went up to € 1.34 million telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03/2…

A weird thing about all this is that we have a straight-up medieval guild which - during a damned doctor shortage - determines precisely how many docs there will be. You can complete medical school, in cumulative good standing, and simply not even get a job OFFER. Changing this system would do a great deal to relax domestic/foreign hostilities in this field.

“Sexual assault experts who collected evidence say the use of sexual torture by Hamas on October 7 was systematic and extensive. It also was planned. Phrasebooks found on bodies of Hamas militants included translations for “Take your clothes off” and “Spread your legs”.” @theoryofmegan I beg you to read this article Grace Tame. theaustralian.com.au/inquirer/the-s…

An illegal immigrant El Salvadoran gang member in Maryland getting deported to El Salvador then repatriated back to the United States then, after being indicted in Tennessee for human trafficking and subsequently released back to Maryland, now awaiting deportation to Liberia of all places is just about the perfect microcosm of the immigration problem. Let in 10s of millions of illegals just by refusing to enforce border laws but to get just 1 of them out you need to spend millions of dollars and months or even years of legal wrangling just to dump them halfway around the world. Entropy v order. Order is extremely difficult and costly. Stop breaking things!

The Islamic Republic is apparently racing to prove every one of Lindsay Graham’s talking points true before they collapse. Unveiling long range missiles that can hit Europe and the East Coast with nuclear bombs. Indiscriminately bombing neighboring civilian targets. Trying to blow up the Dome of the Rock to sow chaos and outrage Muslims. It’s actually impressive.

Iran fired a pair of intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK base in the Indian Ocean. One missile failed in flight, and another was engaged by a US Navy destroyer using an SM-3 missile.

Want to know what really pisses me off? The U.S. mistakenly targets a school that used to be part of an IRGC base? Non stop coverage. Iran strikes a residential neighborhood and kills 30+? Radio silence. Someone explain that to me? Anybody?

Iranian state TV says it targeted Israel’s Dimona nuclear plant tonight in response to this morning’s strike on Natanz nuclear facility. The missile appears to have missed and hit a neighborhood.

Speaks for itself: Feb. 25, 2026: “We are not developing long-range missiles… we have limited the range below 2,000 kilometers” — Iran’s FM Araghchi (IRNA). March 20, 2026: Iran fires missiles at Diego Garcia—ranging 4,000 kilometers (WSJ). ⬇️

@_Greazemoden People are attacking you but none of them will acknowledge that whites moving away from London was a choice, that they made. If it meant that much to them they'd stay and fight the political battles they claim they're losing. Can't do that from some village in Essex.

Something is clearly out of balance when someone earning £10k and someone earning £140k take home the same net amount. No wonder so many hard-working people and entrepreneurs are leaving the UK. Would you want to live in a country that punishes hard work and jobs creation?

If Obama had simply killed Assad in 2014 the entire Syrian refugee crisis which ruined European and American politics never would have happened
Ben Fève@BenjaminFeve

According to the latest @Frontex figures, only 30 Syrian nationals were detected crossing into the EU irregularly in January 2026, the lowest monthly figure recorded in nearly 30 years (January 2009). This number may be revised upward as data is refined, but the broader 2025 trend is unambiguous: irregular crossings by Syrians have fallen to their lowest level since 2012 (lower even than during the COVID-19 pandemic). Time and again, the data confirms what researchers have long argued: the primary driver of irregular migration is conflict, not the economy. Syria remains one of the poorest countries in the world, with catastrophic levels of deprivation. Yet poverty alone rarely compels people to risk dangerous, illegal crossings. When the immediate threat of violence and arbitrary detention recedes, so does the impulse to flee. The December 2024 transition has not made Syria prosperous... just yet. But it may have made it survivable, which is, in itself, enough for many to stay.
