@Rechardart No, I think these are bad in Elden Ring. No one will coop the game without PC mods because of the open world. It is sad since that was a whole way of playing with friends before and they threw it out.

@mauthe_doog These are fairly annoying to run past. Only lowering 1/2 the bridge helps but new players will fully lower it and not be able to undo it.

Everyone's taking this at face value that you "have to kill 16 guys each time you fight Smelter" but you can just run past them. It's called a "run back" because you're just running past the enemies, not fighting every single one

@mikeoxbroad @ShitpostRock2 For me it's that "wait for the boss to attack the spirit, then unload weapon arts on it" works on every boss. I don't have to learn anything to use them, just panic roll away from attacks until I'm safe.

@Morsker @ShitpostRock2 For me the problem isn't even that it's easier, leveling up also makes the game easier. It's that it's an AI thing that fights the boss for you. That's mind-numbingly boring to me, just like watching the boss do moves for 30 minutes while not getting to do anything is.

@mikeoxbroad @ShitpostRock2 Spirit ashes ruined the balance. It's all too easy with them, stupidly tedious without them. I wonder if even "easy mode" would be worse than spirit ashes. It's hard to imagine anything could be worse.

@ShitpostRock2 I was ok with it right up until Rellana. Absolutely disgusting boss fight, might as well have been a cutscene. Then Messmer was basically the same drivel and I tapped out. I guess I could've pulled out spirit ashes but I'd rather just log off than watch the game play itself.

@LightDarkDrake @MenasLG I believe this because the Lord Souls were intended by the artists to give us a boss of Skeletons, Demons, and Knights. The entire point of a Lord Soul is it lets them make an awesome boss we recognize from the intro. So of course we get to fight the 4th.

You don't need an "attention span" to do mindless microtasks over and over. MMOs are dying because gacha games replaced them, it's upgraded mindslavery with even less requirement for "attention span"

@Maksim_SHOSTA It has the best Greatsword, and best armors. I struggle to make characters I think look cool in the other games, but Dark Souls 2 gives me so many options.

@FrancisMarcus97 @ericmmatheny We need to make it legal to have cheaper institutional settings for the homeless. The problem with asylums is they need expensive medical staff. For the homeless it should be enough that harm reduction is achieved, even without full care.

Fine you arrested them. What do the police do with them? They can't process them all, or house them in jails. You can't fine them - they have no money. The powers that be closed 90% of the mental asylums that used to house such people. There are no instititutional beds anywhere for any of them, let alone in the numbers our various drug epidemics have created.

Homelessness must be treated as a social blight. Build shelters. Offer the homeless an opportunity to go there. If they refuse, arrest them for trespassing. You cannot have a society that permits people to live in tents on the sidewalks.
