A year ago, we decided to build something everything-but-ordinary.
While people used to join Web3 for the tech, last year was all about the memes. Alongside @cosmos believers, we wanted to get people excited about #IBC tech again, so we started building $iBC (ImBeCiLes).
While @IBCProtocol connects blockchains, $iBC was created to connect memecoin traders: one meme to connect them all and, in the greatest content, bind them.
But launching a simple coin wasn’t enough.
We needed to craft the $iBC culture, and we have:
▶️ Created more than 400 memes.
▶️ A 69-page dictionary.
▶️ Bought and burned $5,000 worth of @StargazeZone NFTs.
▶️ Created more than 100 Telegram stickers.
▶️ Paid for an upcoming airdrop.
▶️ Designed a PFP collection.
▶️ Designed a banner collection.
▶️ Kept posting every day.
But… We NeV’R LauNcheD $iBC 🤤.
We have spent all this time, work, and effort not to launch. The worst part is that, even today, we keep working on @IBCmemecoin every day, even as engagement has dropped close to 0️⃣.
Sometimes I wonder… how imbecile are we?
Maybe too much. If $iBC doesn’t succeed in bringing the world in, then we will have been the most imbecile people on earth, especially for spending thousands of hours and dollars on this.
But to keep working on a project with the same enthusiasm as day one, in these market conditions, with no one engaging… is the most imbecily bullish thing I’ve ever seen.
$iBC iSn"t abOud za monei, it's aBoUd FenDing a meFfadge.
