As consultants to @NCMMHQ, we joined the Hon. Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism & Creative Economy @hanneymusawa, and the DG NCMM in a bilateral meeting with German Ambassador Annett Günther @AnnettGunther. Discussions focused on strengthening museum cooperation, cultural repatriation & preservation. In particular, the Durbi Takusheyi Artefacts.

My uncle and hero, Major General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua(Tafidan Katsina), GCFR, GCON, was posthumously conferred with GCFR by President Bola Tinubu. Nigeria’s highest national honour. His sacrifice laid the foundation for the democracy we enjoy today. In a letter from Abakaliki Prison to his son Buhari, he wrote: "I am today in prison not because I want political power or to be president as most people think. I do what I do because I love you because I don't want my children to grow up in a country that has no future, a country that you cannot be proud of." That love for Nigeria and unwavering courage cost him everything. But his legacy lives on in our freedom, in our hope, and in the pride we feel today.

Yesterday, I had the honour of visiting former President Olusegun Obasanjo — the Baba of Africa — at his prestigious Presidential Library. His reception was beyond welcoming — warm, gracious, and deeply homely. Truly amazed by the richness and vision behind the Library. A national treasure.

Congratulations to a dear friend and brother Aafin Oba Elegushi @obaelegushi, an exemplary example of eloquence. It was my pleasure to spend the evening with you and the good and jovial people of Ikate-Elegushi kingdom on your 15th Coronation Anniversary. May the Almighty bring you more fulfillment in the years ahead.

In his effort to complement security operatives to combat insecurity, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, presented 10 armored personnel carriers to security operatives in the 8 frontline local governments of Katsina State in order to bolster security in the State. This significant event took place on Monday, 15th April 2024 at the Katsina State Government House. In his address, the Governor emphasized that he has followed through on his commitment to equip the Katsina Community Watch and the joint operation led by the police with all the necessary resources. The vehicles were allocated to the following eight frontline local governments: Safana, Batsari, Danmusa, Kankara, Faskari, Sabuwa, Dandume, and Jibia LGAs.

Yesterday was an emotional one for me,it has been 14 years since the passing of our late father, President Umaru Musa Yar’adua. It was heartwarming to see all the tributes pouring in and also to witness the commemoration and annual prayer day convened by our very own, The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Mal Dikko Umaru Radda. Governor Radda, in the course of the event, also unveiled a book entitled "What Yar'Adua Told and Taught Me" by Engineer Muttaka Rabe Darma, which reflects upon the invaluable lessons learned over 23 years under the guidance of Mallam Umaru Musa Yar'adua. Although I was not able to attend, I am grateful to my brothers for honouring our father’s memory with their presence and heartfelt words at the commemoration. Most lessons I learnt from my father were from lessons he taught others, and from the way he lived his life, that’s reassuring. RIJF, your melody lingers on.❤️❤️

The renowned Maryam Park is currently undergoing an extensive renovation and transformation. Once completed, it will become a cutting-edge facility that aims to promote social engagement, boost internal revenue, generate employment prospects, and draw tourists from all corners of the nation. This initiative demonstrates the Katsina State Government's strategic foresight in revitalizing the tourism sector within Katsina. It serves as a catalyst for both local and international investment opportunities, aligning with their vision for progress and development.
