@DCfanforever101 @RadziwillLee The difference is that both Melania and Meghan were born after women’s lib. There are a lot more opportunities for women now. That wasn't the case for Jackie’s gen. Also, not saying yachting is a new thing. I'm saying you're comparing modern dynamics to a different world.

@MotherlodeMami @RadziwillLee So? How is she any different than Priscilla Presley, Meghan Markle, Melania Trump and others who married rich and made a brand grifting off of it? Atleast she was an actual widow. Besides yachting isnt a 21st century thing. It’s just more socially acceptable now.

@DCfanforever101 @RadziwillLee You're comparing 21st century high class escorting to an upper class woman born in the 1920s. That's what women did back then, marry well. How else would she have a decent life? That's how you secured your life. With this logic, every woman born before 1960 was a sex worker.

@MotherlodeMami @RadziwillLee Except she ended up marrying him for money which is what yachters do looking for wealthy clients or a potential husband. Even with JFk it was an arranged marriage. I mean Onassis was a shipping titan.

@DCfanforever101 @RadziwillLee Yes, but that doesn’t equal yatching. The First Lady of the US doesn't need to do that. She just had a stillbirth & was depressed. She was invited to go along with Lee to lift her spirits. Winston Churchill was there too. Rich ppl love inviting other rich folks on their yacht

@aelinreader She really loved kids. Any pic with her and a child, she's lighting up. Sad she didn't get a chance to experience motherhood herself.

@DCfanforever101 @RadziwillLee Well, no. They were born into a wealthy family and they're from a certain generation. Women in general, but especially of their class were expected to marry well. That was their life goal. Both were middle aged women by the time Women’s Lib came along & opened up opportunities

@DCfanforever101 @RadziwillLee Well, allegedly Lee fucked JFK when Jackie was pregnant. So, I guess the boundary was already crossed. Plus, Jackie’s main priority was marrying an extremely wealthy man so her kids would be secure. Onassis was a super thirsty clout chaser and dumped Lee fast.

@Riverwater505 @turntineforwhat That was his choice. His mother worked for Apple corporate for years and his dad was a business owner and musician. He was objectively raised upper middle class and had a good life. Doing the fake struggle thing is lame.

Precisely, except my ancestors had to do it through blood, sweat, and tears; nothing was handed to them. They were in pursuit of something far greater than themselves, so they left their wives and children behind and set out on voyages of discovery, to see the world, and to conquer it. And they did. Their achievements transformed the entire world btw, and here you are talking down to me and disparaging them in MY OWN bloody language.. The assets we "stole" btw were never claimed to begin with. Most of the lands we went to weren't even counties, they were barely functioning feudalistic tribal communities, some of them still in the bloody stone age. Take Africa, for example, who didn't even know that beneath their feet was liquid gold. You can't steal something that was never claimed to begin with, you'd be wise to remember that.

@RizwanAliRao @MarilynMill_ @TfL Telling a paying customer that they should ‘use their brain’ is not showing patience. He switched up his tone when he knew he was being recorded because he knew he was wrong. There’d be nothing to ‘blackmail’ it he did his job properly.

@TfL are these the kind of people you employ ?? Talking so disgustingly to an elderly women because she wanted directions ? He should be sacked and never allowed to work with ppl again if he can’t even have compassion for the vulnerable. *postedby BoujeeBlends on TT*

@FCarroll539117 He's genuinely offended when he is assumed to be apart of the Klan, he tells the protagonists about the Klan planning to attack them and turns some of the local Klan folk because he wants to root out their racism. You did not watch the film.

@TheXReportCard It is also really telling that they made the villains Irish. The Irish have their own history of oppression. It is a way of saying, "Don't unite based on oppression, unite on race and race alone."

@FCarroll539117 @TheXReportCard It's not the villainS. It's one villain, the vampire. And his Irishness is a key part of his story and why he wants to unite. His oppression is highlighted in the movie and he uses that as an argument for why the Black ppl in the Juke Joint should join him and be turned.

@Rob_Motto Even with that in mind, Civil rights happened in the 60s. Poitier won first, then Denzel in 2001. All others are scattered throughout the 2000s. If they were just handing them out to actors for being Black, like you imply we should have a lot more than 6 over the past 60 years.

@Nearwasfiller They didn't watch it, so they’re making assumptions on small clips like this that are making the rounds on Twitter
