This morning I woke up to a copyright strike fraud on my newer Youtube channel called "Big Brollow". This user on discord reached out to me asking me to pay him 200$ in order to have the claim removed. He also then admitted to doing this as a "Side Hustle", committing multiple fraudulent claims on other creators. People should not be able to get away with doing this. The copyright system on Youtube is not safe for creators @TeamYouTube @YouTubeCreators

@Girly_Juice I think it would still be viable to have an off-hours charge in place. Might not pay by the hour, but an interruption of your personal time should be as inconvenient to pay for as it is to do at a minimum. Idk maybe this is all just grumpy machinist attitudes.

@Mpturp94 Unfortunately I don’t work in an industry where payment by the hour is common/standard; in the world of writing it’s usually per word or per assignment

Is there a way I can get clients to stop emailing me on weekends and expecting/demanding responses outside of my working hours? Listing my hours in my email signature and even directly telling them has not been successful 🙃

@Girly_Juice Additionally, minimum billable hours is a strong tool here. If they have to pay you for an hour every time they want a question answered, they might catch on that it can wait.

@Girly_Juice I'd say start charging out of office hours. Clarify once what the rate is with like an autoreply that only goes off when you're on offtime, and remind them that rush work, including responding to urgent emails out of office hours, is never cheap.

@CodysLab Maybe leave an indent in a particular spot and cast a smaller bead of that alloy into it? Gives it a single spot that could be easily spotted later, assuming the alloy has a visible distinction from the cast
