Infinity Ward’s been running Friday Night Play sessions with creators and pro players to get feedback early, and we’ve already started bringing people back in to check out the updates. We’d love to fly everyone out, but there’s only so much room. The two creators you mentioned were invited to a private briefing before the trailer dropped. We’re listening to all of it though. The praise, the complaints, and the completely unhinged requests.

I'm seeing multiple posts about how Infinity Ward is "more open to feedback," but people like @JGODYT or @TheXclusiveAce (and more) weren't invited (or blacklisted) because they dared to give critical feedback when it was deserved. There's no reason that two of the most trusted, analytical, and value based creators in this scene should have been left off the list, in what appears to be some act of reprisal. It looks retaliatory and tells creators: it doesn't matter if you commit a decade to COD, if you fall out of line - you're out. The optics are awful. COD already has a reputation of a hive of creators who will hype up anything for the sake of invites or opportunities. Praise from a previous critic means INFINITELY more than praise from someone who only knows praise. If you're confident in your product (which based on the trailer and list of changes/features they absolutely SHOULD be) invite the people who had the balls to tell you the truth when you fell short. Maybe there's events they can attend in the future, but I've looked forward to their reveal reviews every single year. It's legitimately mind blowing they weren't allowed to attend. MW4 is the first COD I've been excited for in a couple years, but actions like this feel very shortsighted and counterproductive to rebuilding the trust and goodwill COD desperately needs to earn back.

@hastr0 @Dexerto It’s not expensive. It’s operationally cheap The issue is the system needs to be designed correctly from a sanctioning stand point or you will lose your ass running it If done properly, 256-512 teams should be insta sell outs and it should be the greatest jump off for rookies

This was the gauntlet. We ran it many times with many teams. You just don’t see this much anymore. Why? It is quite expensive to facilitate, but there’s a model somewhere that can make it work. Right? Photo credit: @Dexerto
