@bocchithereturn @SashoTodorov1 @JimmyThomist It's now 2 years since the battle of Avdiivka ended. There are open-source projects that track the number of killed Russian soldiers based on Internet/social media reports. @pechalbeda200 on Telegram is such a project, they've tracked 196,000+ Russian KIA so far, see for yourself

@bocchithereturn @SashoTodorov1 @JimmyThomist You’re delusional if you think Russia isn’t suffering heavy casualties in year 5 of this full-scale war. Prigozhin admitted Wagner suffered 20,000 KIA at Bakhmut. Russian soldier Andrei Morozov stated Russia suffered 16000 KIA at Avdiivka, before killing himself

If true, this would mean Russia is suffering twice the per month KIA (with a 700k field force) as the Germans during the first 5 months of Barbarossa (with a 3.5 million field force). Meaning Russia apparently has over 10x the per capita KIA rate. I don’t think that’s true.
Tymofiy Mylovanov@Mylovanov

Stubb: We are in a situation where the Ukrainians are killing over 30,000 Russians per month. Russians are not able to recruit back. We're getting closer to the moment when there might have to be a general call from the Russian part. 1/

@SashoTodorov1 @JimmyThomist Do you see RU total KIA for 2026 being higher than in 2025? And why or why not? I ask due to the improvement + consistency of SBS's performance since mid 2025.

@MrBird06 @JimmyThomist Median RU KIA today is 42 and the 75% mark does not start until 47.5. Conflict wide invalid WIA rate is down from 1.7 per KIA, as it was in 2022, due to KIA cannibalizing invalid WIA to a degree due to casevac problems. But I do think invalid WIA and sick are still likely 1 to 1.

@JimmyThomist A lot is people being fuzzy with language surrounding permanent losses. I do think it's likely that Ukraine is inflicting 30K+ permanent losses per month at a 15K KIA/15K invalid wounded breakdown. Likeliest count for RU in 2025 is in the 180K KIA (15K per week) range.

@bowtiedcrake Russia’s invasion has destroyed many Ukrainian Orthodox churches with missiles and artillery. Not to mention killing hundreds of thousands of white Europeans.

I got blackpilled on Russia. In 2023 I didn’t like UA because of association with libtards and I didn’t think their odds were good so why not sue for peace? It’s been three years now with UA becoming Europe’s premier fighting force, and all the historical nonsense doesn’t matter anymore. Ukraine is a real country, with the way it carried itself and fought like mad. Meanwhile RU just bleeding itself of a generation of men with lots of Soviet era madness (officers killing conscripts who desert impossible odds) and their military is a paper tiger. Spiritually third world. Russia is still more psychologically Soviet than Ortho. They can talk Based shit all day, I don’t care. They’re not the good guys. I don’t apologize to the libtards and boomers for being wrong - I continue to trust my instinct of distrusting them by default. I’ve simply evolved my views on Ukraine and Russia as nations and peoples. Multipolarity is a cringe meme. It’s just giving power to Salafists, Maoists and Soviets. It’s better to be pro-West and push back on the Zios

Simply by posting online and you interacting with my posts I have been able to provide Ukrainian defenders $677 in two months. Your likes, comments and shares means money going to save lives instead of just pressing some stranger’s dopamine button. It’s that easy.

A white western guy joined my group tour in Afghanistan and enjoyed the adrenaline so much that he signed up to the Ukrainian army to feel that rush again and sends me videos of him drone striking Russians. He’s up to 10 kills! Not political, he just tells me he enjoys killing people!

@real_lord_miles I can appreciate that. Nonetheless, I'm against white on white violence when there are so many subhumans to deal with. When he gets back, direct him to a migrant hotel.

This is often reflected also in unofficial or even official media. Telegram channels specially are quite frank. Some Russian telegram channels will also often speak candidly and realistically about the situation, lamenting losses, criticizing decisions or celebrating a victory. Contrast this to the information space in the Middle East right now and it’s just night and day.

Something I always appreciate about talking to contacts in Ukraine is that they’re straight up with you. They don’t bullshit and lie. If the situation is messed up they say it’s messed up. And if the situation is good they say the guys are working good.

Any deal that trades territory for security guarantees only makes sense if those guarantees are binding at the treaty level and ratified by Congress. Anything short of that is politically reversible and not credible enough to justify territorial concessions.

@SashoTodorov1 I hope you're right. The Bender_Group1 Telegram channel (drone unit of Russia's 108th VDV regiment) hasn't been posting as many brutal drone strike videos from that area recently, which could be a sign that the tides may have turned.

A wannabe great power reduced to fighting like it's Verdun. Unreal. I am genuinely amazed the security services in Russia aren't scheming against Putin. He's breaking Russian power. At some point it's just cheaper to lose...

This shows an incredible level of attrition even at officer level for the brigade. In fact, from 2024-2025 in total, the 810th NIB lost 47 officers, only one of them is officer at 810th NIB at the start of the war, another somewhat likely (from available info).
